  1. I am having the same problems. When I am stressed I am so much tighter and I want to eat like I used to. I just try to eat jello or something that isn't bad for me and keep on going. Good luck!
  2. Like many of the other posters, I did not go back to work for a week after my surgery. I went right back to wearing my underwire bras and did not have some pain, but it wasn't anything that I couldn't deal with. After a while, I didn't even notice. I have noticed that if I eat a little to much and am sitting, I can feel the pressure. It is better if I stand up - so it is a good way to help stay on track. good luck!
  3. I am going to agree with the people who posted before me. We are getting married in June and I was very concerned that he would change his mind. He definitly likes fluffy girls. He has been very supportive and we had several conversations before my surgery that were for my benefit. He loves the person I am inside and wants me to be healthy. I have lost 68 lbs since April and he still loves me and is still attracted to me. Good luck - I know it is not an easy thing and there are still times that I wonder, but I have to have faith in our love.

    Medical Alert wording

When I worked in the trauma unit it was standard to drop an NG tube on trauma patients to evacuate the stomach prior to surgery. There are many reasons that you could have one, trauma, drug overdose, gi bleeding - not just for feeding ~ something to think about
  5. I am sorry that I haven't been in touch. I have not been on there is a lot going on here and I am having a lot of trouble with my band. I am glad that things are going well for you and that you are losing. Good luck with the moles.

  6. If you get this twice, my computer blinked out, so I am resending. Things are going ok - I can't wait until my first fill on Wednesday. I am a little disappointed so far in what I have lost, but at the same time, I guess I expected more than I should have. I hope that things are going well with you. If you have any helpful hints or pointers I would be more than happy to listen . . .er um read :-). Have a blessed day - Jen

  7. Jen and Cali, I am having the same problem and, while I am sorry that you are, it makes me feel better. I have been told that it will go away when we get used to eating again. I am hoping! Good luck!

Anyone else scheduled for April 16th?

Bee, I am still on liquids too and I am so tired of them! I read where others are eating and I am so jealous, but I keep telling my self 2 more weeks and it will be me. I have tried grits and mashed potatoes so far and they are ok. The problem that I am having is that I feel so tired, and I keep getting so queasy throughout the day and I can't figure out why. It doesn't happen at the same time. When this happens, everything inside seems to tighten up and I can't drink to ease it up. Anyone else? If so, what are you doing? This has only started in the last 4-5 days; before that I was feeling SO GOOD! :smile:Anyway, I hope that everyone is doing ok.

    Huntsville trip 2009

Hi! I know that I am not part of your group, but the title of your thread caught my attention. I live between Huntsville and Guntersville, and if there is anything I can do to help let me know. I hope that you all have fun visiting! Jennifer

CONGRATULATIONS! to you and the others that I saw on what is the most important day of the year to me also! I did not have to stay overnight, but I had to have someone with me. I don't have sleep apnea, but was on the road there. Good luck and God Bless!
  14. My surgeon had me on a high protein, low carb diet about a week before the surgery to shrink my liver. I had been eating like this pretty much through the last 2-3 months of my diet anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. I did suffer from the last meal syndrome as well, and it does get better. I wish you luck!
  15. Hello Everyone! I am a little over one week post surgery and just found this group today. I am so excited about my band. I hope that things go well for everyone who is scheduled for surgery this week!
  16. Hi Everyone, I had my surgery on April 16th and am proud to be a part of this group! I hope that everyone is doing well. I am on my second week of clear liquids post op and it is ok. I am so glad that I didn't have to do this pre-op! My surgeon had me on a high protein and low carb diet before surgery to shrink my liver, so I was lucky. Good luck to you all and I hope to hear from you soon!
