I have a real problem with anything put over my face. Don't even like air in my nose. I told them that and in the lap band and when I had colonoscpy they gave me a shot before the mask. I was fine.

Have you decided to tell him yet or not? Wondering how it's going and if you've had the surgery yet. God Bless.

lynn, Amen to that! I'm really down today and thought I'd just take a lookc.About work, My husbands company has been doing lay offs and this round he was let go. On his birthday no less! He turned 64. They kept someone 1/2 his age and 1/2 the $ but believe me, they will be getting 1/2 the work. CRAP! Bummer of a week, actually 3 weeks now. Trying to stay focused and not gain. I'm hungry all the time. Have 4cc in my 10cc band. Go in again in 3 weeks. Just venting. Everyone have a good eve.

I'm still waiting to get to my sweet spot so that the band can do it's part and I can continue to do mine.

I agree with everyone. TELL HIM and educate him. If you want your life to include your husband, include him in this part of your life.

I've never heard of that either. Your food would all get cold I'd think. I could probably eat slower but I do chew well.

Bud light with lime here but havn't since surgery. I went for a fill last Thurs and I've lost 8 in around my middle. I really think it has a lot to do with no beer. Wine aplenty now. (grin):thumbdown:

August, I really wish I could say Yes, I've lost interest but sadly I can't yet. I'm waiting for that day. I still sit and watch the clock waiting for my next "fix". I'm hungry an hour after I eat. I go for another fill a week from today. Sure hope that does it. I'm at 4ccs now. Sherry:sad:

A little gas pain in my left shouldar. Other than that, minimal. Just rest a couple of days and remember not to lift anything heavy for 3 weeks.

Just a comment kind of off this particular flow but: When I worked with people losing weight I told them that when they lost 20 lbs and nobody said anything to look at it this way. When you gained 20 lbs were you upset that everyone didn't come up to you and say "hey, wow, you're really gaining weight, you look fat!" Nobody's noticed I've lost weight except my husband or maybe they have but nobody's said anything. I keep telling myself that.

I'm with you less of me. Why should you have to pay for it. Have you checked in state to see what it would cost you to do it? After you count the flight or 6 hour drive plus time there maybe it wouldn't be more. Just a thought.

Oh I know the feeling well. Once I decided to have it done, I was in surgery in 2 weeks. My daughter had it over a year ago and I finally decided enough was enough and I wasn't going to get back up to my high weight again.

I often quote that Dear Abby column too. I've always remembered it and it was so right on! I had my band May 21st and I'm 65. I thought maybe I'm so old to do this and I thought of that column and went ahead and did it.

OK, just got back from Costco and forgot to look for naked nuggets. What the heck are they and where. I usually go to the Beardsly one but arrowhead too.
