    My Fills Nightmare

My doctor has had the worst time finding my port. The first time I was not able to get a fill and he stuck me probably 15 times. I was sore for days. Had to go have it done under an xray machine or something. Got it on the first stick under the machine. 2nd time to get a fill almost the same thing. He stuck me 10 times and was very upset that he was unable to get it but tried one more time and got it. Thank GOD! I am supposedly at 6 cc's and have no restriction whatsoever. Very dissappointing but I keep struggling with it. Some days I am good some days are not but as long as I am not gaining I am happy.
  3. I got the band 3 months ago and for the past month I was having severe chest pain so went to the dr and they think it is gallstones. I go for my tests next week to be sure. It means another surgery and it will be a while before I can get a fill and I was already due for one. Anybody gone through this? Does it get better.
  4. Happy Birthday!!!

  5. Let me know how your fill went!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Hey girl! Yeah I am doing alright with everything. I will be happy when I hit the 30 lb mark which hopefully won't be munch longer. I am only like 3 lbs away from. I just need to start focusing on the exercising part more and of course my 1st fill will probably help alot too. I am proud of you and you are looking great.

  7. What's going on Buffie? Have you had any NSV yet?

  8. Don't let not getting a fill get you down. Make sure they numb you next time.

  9. I use sparks people. It is very user friendly and has lots of extras.

Can you still eat it with the band? I would really like to know if anyone has tried and how it went. I love sushi and that will be something I would really miss.

    Don't know how to feel

I am not a big blogger but I just needed to get something out. I was told that I would be able to get the lap band by my insurance because of the information given to me before I signed up with them. I had been putting it off for a while and just decided the last week that I would go get my evaluations done and get the ball rolling. I am all happy and excited about the prospect of being able to finally do something about my weight. A few girls where I work have had it done and they look great and they are so happy they had it done. So I am happy and excited until I get to the doctors office and they call the insurance company. They were told that I would not be approved. I almost cried. I called and talked to insurance company myself and they said that I would have to go through an medical review. I told them that I knew that and asked again what the requirements where and they said that I needed to have a bmi over 35. Which I have. So I talk to the Dr about it and we do all the work ups to send in for the evaluation but the Dr still seems to think I will be denied. She said she has dealt with alot of insurance companies and it didn't sound good but she would do what she could. So now I am waiting. I don't want to hope and don't want to think about it but it is really all that is on my mind and it is weighing me down greatly. I just wanted to feel better.
