exactly how do you make chicken and avacado salad?

wow..what a story. i have mine completely defilled because i had thyroid surgery and cancer of thyroid. i am still restricted with empty band. getting a barium and fill next week. any advise?

After a year of not loosing weight and emptying my band completely to help with problems I was having and tests proving that there is nothing wrong, I realized that I handled stress well all my life but once I got the band, when I am stressed it swells and tightens and I feel like there is something stuck in my chest. I have no fluid in my band and keep having this problem, I am considering removing the band cause I can't stand this. Anyone else have this issue?

Hey I just thought of this. I can't believe I didn't think of this before. My doctor does fills but not for my clinic. She would do it for you without any problems. Daaaaaa. lol. Her name is Dr. Saadaldeen. She has a few patients with the band. My clinic is very picky who does their fills. Don't waist your money on that package. Hope to see you soon.

Call Surgical Weightloss Centre in Mississauga and ask them name of the doctor in London who does fills for them in London, he is somewhere in Wortley village.

well you are lucky. i have not lost any weight since my band a year ago.

i just discovered I was taking acid reflux med for nothing. I had thyroid nodules that were hurting me to swallow. Geshhh. once they were removed, I am feeling much better but still feels like there is an abstraction, I see my surgeon in a week and I will discuss it with him. It just coincided with my lapband so I thought it was related.

believe it or not, my acid reflex does not consist of heart burn.

feel free to talk to me or depending on when you are getting banded, we meet once a month, you can meet with us in 2 weeks.

Just letting you ladies know my dr called and schedules a scope to see whats going on once he heard i want the band gone. in my town i have been waiting for 6 months to do scope and my band surgion is 2 hours away and said he would do it in 2 weeks. fnally some amswers

I have a long story but to make it short, I was banded in Feb 08 and am still same weight!!! Much of it has to do with health and my own bad habits and I developed Acid Reflux. Now I have no fluid in my band. Just need reassurance why we need a band if we still have to control our hunger. I thought band would help with fullness, but its not in stomack, it in asophygus and hurts like a b...........

I don't exercise and Sep-Jan retail is busy time and I am merchandiser. Now its over and prexmas I planned already to work less, I almost colapsed from overworking. Now I am getting cut back and planning to take full advantage of it to step baci into gym at least 3 times a week. My weekness is sweets. GRRRR

My hernia was repaired during lap band surgery. Raw feeling if I have not eaten for 3 hours.

My fill was 5.6 and I kept defilling until I ended up on empty which eventually I would have to do because I am having surgery. My reflux is as such....I have no heartburn, just feels raw and like I have a chunk sitting in my esophagus. You are right, I eat more then a cup of sliders but good protein I sometimes can eat 2 oz, sometimes 5 oz. I make bad food choices and eat desserts. I still have to contol what I eat and I suck at it. Any ideas what I can take for lunches? I can no longer eat sandwiches. I really do want to change.

I am tight but I don't have any fluid in it. I just had roast beef dinner, had 1/2 oz roast and could not eat any more meat. I started to watch my portions today and I noticed that if i eat or neeble less , i am more tight. It seems that if I keep nibbling everything loosens up cause it keeps working.hmm. anyways, i dont keep diary, i eat more then a cup, wayyyyyy more and we didnt get consultation around here before and not getting much support after.

Thank you ladies. Here it goes. A few years ago I had tummy tuck even though I still had 50 lbs to loose. I looked great but could not shake off the weight. I decided to go with lap band. 16G later and 3 fills I ended up challenging my band a few times and I think it cause acid reflux. Of course my band dr did not see it but my fam dr did. it took 6 months to figure it out while i was in pain. During that time I was having some other pains from car accident and while going through all of it, I found out I have 2 lumps in my thyroid and I will have my thyroid removed. Soooooo, my band was defilled completely in September and I am waiting for a surgery date to remove my thyroid. A have gained 6 lbs back from only 15 i lost with pre-surgery diet. I have not lost any weight since lap band even though i had 5.6 cc. I came to realise that band was a waist of money for me as I still have to be in control. Because of acid reflex i cannot eat much in terms of solid protein and I compensate by eating slider foods. So if its up to me to control intake and count calories, what is the purpose of a band or how can I get on a right track or I may consider a removal of the band after my thyro surgery. Any advice?

wow, wow, wow i found this thread through search for lunch ideas and I cannot belive how you ladies took of on it since last year (2 now lol). Maybe I can use this group for some help. I would like to tell my story and get some wisdom from you ladies? Is that alright or should I do this in a seperate thread? I don't come here often so i have not kept up.
