  1. Wow a mile! That is great. You are so far ahead of where I was at. You are really dedicated. Can't wait to see your weight progress.
  2. I have been dealing with non stop cramps in my feet and calves since right after surgery. It got so bad they scanned me for clots in my legs. None there. It sucks. Hopefully it goes away soon.
  3. Lisa I really feel some professional counseling will help you as well as exploring the posibility of going forward with a DS. I think you, like almost all of us here are dealing with an addiction that is hard to keep control of. Drug addicts don't have to be exposed every single day to the drug of their choice. We are expected to consume our drug of choice and not go overboard. When you think about it that way it seems like a huge wall we must climb. Society does not help either by just making us feel like we are just lazy, not in need of help. Keep us updated. We are here for you.
  4. I was not given any instructions on how many calories to consume in the first 3 weeks. I don't track my calories, but rather protein, ounces, and sodium. I would guess I am around 400 calories.
  5. No regrets but I am only 12 days out.
  6. You don't take Yaz by chance do you?
  7. What did he do that was so odd? lol
  8. I am glad you are coughing and not me. Sorry to say. I can't imagine having a coughing fit right now. Even a burb hurts and hicups......ugh. I think everyone is gone for the holiday. I am about to go and do some organizing I have been needing to do. I decided to go back to work early so I need to get things done I wanted to get done on my time off today.
  9. Hi Travel Chick! I looked at my surgical paperwork and listed is possible removal of spleen and gall bladder. My doctor had discussed with me that other organs being damaged was a risk of surgery in such a tight space with lots of extra abdominal fat to complicate things. Don't worry. Lots of people live without their spleen no problem. At least you can't get speen cancer now. Glad you are home and doing well!
  10. Oh that sucks. By output do you meen peeing? I had the worse trouble the third day. It seems like your bladder and brain are not connected yet. I am not sure they still are as I never know until the last minute now that I need to pee. I am glad you are home. Don't try and clean that house yourself! You need to rest. Make whoever made the mess clean it up. You are not a maid. Your a person who needs rest, walking, and sips!
  11. HA! I am not the only one who loses my panties in public.
  12. Glad you are are home! 8 lbs is great. Keep sipping.
  13. Oh ok. I have not lost any weight since Thursday. It is silly but I feel anxious about it. I don't want to have gone through all this for 12 lbs. I am sick of clears. 9 day down, 12 days to go. I will never eat broth or Jello happily again.
  14. When exactly do you guys feel like you are in a stall? Is there a magic number of days or?
  15. I honestly think 48 oz is great for right now. It seems if you stress yourself it just goes down worse. As long as you are peeing a mid to light yello and not dizzy you are doing good. Just keep at it.
  16. I understand about the pain! I am glad you made it through it. Things only get better from here. Keep us updated.
  17. Have you tried to Water down the crystal light? I watered it down 3:1 or it is too sweet for me too. Make sure your Jello bites are really small and liquid when you swallow them. Don't worry the going down wrong part gets better with time. I am 9 days out and just got to 35 oz a day. I am dehydrated I can tell by my urine. Just keep sipping. That is what I do. Oh and popcicles, lots of SF popcicles really do help.
  18. Don't worry cat it does. I am 8 days out and it is easier now to drink. I promise it gets better as you heal. Oh and congrats to you if you are getting 40 oz! I just got 35 yesterday.
  19. I knew I should have gone to trader joes sooner! I would love to meet my protein in two drinks instead of 3.5. My stomach gets to a point at the end of the day it does not want anything but water.
  20. I was in the hospital 3 days and would have been fine home alone. In fact like Susan said it would have been better maybe the first day to be alone. DH bugged me all day because he missed me while I was gone and wanted to talk and play x box. I just wanted to take little walks and nap. I drove for the first time yesterday but that was just because I didn't need to until then. I could have driven 5 days out.
  21. I will chime in on the TMI. I am 8 days out and have only had 2 movements, if you could call them that. I am still passing gas and my husband can hear sounds so I am not worried. I don't feel bloated. I feel for you with liquids. It is hard. I wish I would have done this during the winter when it was a constant 70 out.
  22. I bought a whole bunch. They are good! In fact I think I will go have one.......
  23. The unflavored is great. It is the only thing getting me by since I don't want my shakes. I mix it with crystal light.
  24. Hi Alisa. I just wanted to let you know you are not the only one. I was given the wrong diet plan at the hospital, they gave me the lap band one. Arrgggg!! I will be on clear liquids in Sept 17th. How are you doing? I am not looking foward to 2 more weeks of broth and Jello but whatever.
