Congrats Girl:thumbup:..you are almost there. I agree the optifast is VERY expensive, I didn't think they would give us a choice, they make it like we HAVE to buy it. I mean look how expensive Dorys visits are, & we ONLY have 1 fill covered then we have to pay for any more at $85.00 + $250.00(office visit fee)=335.00........I will be broke, nevermind skinny....So many other doctors (like where I was originally going to go before my PCP referred me to Lawrence Hosp.)cover fills for the first 6 months to a year after surgery. I really never hear anything about the doctors either:ohmy:
(except from the people at Lawerences support group)
Dont worry you will do FINE...I am so worried & scared :scared2:for my children for the 2 weeks that I am on the pre-op liquid diet..I know I am going to be miserable and a royal BITCH:cursing:, my poor kids & co-workers. I have given them warning now
Remember if you need some1 to talk to or just to vent to I am here for you:smile2:

Sounds GREAT, cant wait until we are thru w/ the PRE op and can say we are among the baded, the waiting is so nervewracking, July 22nd & 23rd seem sooooo long away.......Well I look forward to getting to know you & to helping each other on this journey we have chose:)

Dr Silva is doing my surgery too.
I called Dr. Silvas office in the Bronx today & spoke to Tanya, she said she still doesn't have ny approval, but she will set a tentative date for surgery of July 15th. I will get excited when THEY have the approval. I have the authorization numer but I guess its not good coming from me.
Keep me posted on your progress on our journey.

CONGRATS:thumbup: on the approval...I too am (not so) patiently waiting for approval from my insurance..my papers were submitted on May 14th. i called my insurance co last week & they said it is "being reviewed". I am soooo anxious...I hope to be as excited as you VERY soon. Keep me posted.. TTYS

My papers were submitted to my insurance co. on May 14th and I still have no word. I have called them myself & all they keep telling me is that it has not been authorized, its being reviewed. How long can they review it??? whats to review, all the papers are there.......I am going out of my mind....I am feeling that this IS NOT A GOOD THING...I will be devestated if they deny me..... Has anyone else had to wait this long???? My insurance is Hudson Health Plan....anyone else have it?????? Thanks for listening... Waiting NOT so patiently anymore..........ARGHH

No word yet from my insurance:frown: I dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. It has been over a week. I think I will defineley take your advice & call myself.

Congrats on being OVER the PRE-op hump....I hope to be there VERY soon too, thats great that you are feeling so good & have minimal pain. I also have a hiatal hernia they will repair at the time of surgery. Glad to hear how well your recovery is. TTYS -

Sorry you are having all that pain...I have heard that applying a heating pad to the area & Gas x help...anythingis worth a try....Hope youa re felling better soon...
