Hi. Yes I too am from MI. Was banded last December and have only lost 30 lbs, very disappointed. You seem to be doing great for such a short time. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback...what kind of work outs are you doing? I still eat some carbs...part of my problem, and too much fat....not enough veggies.

Hey there Meredith, I see you are doing great! I am still plugging away. Down 30 pounds in 7 months...very slow, but better than before. You are doing great! Carrie posted that she was not happy with the band and it didn't work for her...what happened. I hope she did not have to have it removed or something. She did lose a significant amount of weight. Hi, I have my first fill on the 27th too. Right now I feel like I was never banded and can eat just about anything, and yes I am hungrier than I was post op. I lost 15 pounds between pre-op and post-op and I am afraid I will gain it back between now and my first fill. It is really hard to diet right now with no restriction. I am not feeling down at the moment, but I was about a week and a half after surgery. I was miserable. It is normal to go through emotional changes with this surgery. And I am sure I will have more ups and downs to come as things progress. Right now, I am a bit anxious to get this thing started and start losing! We will hang in there and do well, even if it takes us a while! Keep in touch!! Linda

Hi Leslie, I am feeling much better, thanks! Eating more like normal now, but have no restriction yet. Surgeon appointment tomorrow. My first fill should be in a few weeks. Happy New Year, and talk to you soon.

Hey Carrie, Surgery was hell. Hated it and had real feelings of remorse after. Now I am going through "Bandster Hell" I guess. Hungry all the time and need to eat every two hours or so. Still on mushies. How are you? Still happy with your decision? Have you heard from Meredith? How do you feel? Any problems coping? Let me know! Merry Christmas too!

Hi Amber, I see you were banded on the 4th, I was banded on the 11th. You said it took a week to feel normal again? I can't wait to feel normal again! Linda

Im OK. Still staying home for another day or two. HOw bout you? what is your pain like? Gas, etc? Let me know. Have you gotten out yet?

OMG...I thought I was having just gas, and it was a bit of diarrhea. Now when I have Gas to Pass, I head to the potty, just in case!! How are you otherwise? Any pain? I only have pain in the port area, so I am taking liquid vicodin. I was really sorry I did this when I was in recovery and in the hospital, because I felt like I was hit by a mac truck. Keep in touch and keep me posted as to how you are, OK?

Hi Leslie. I am home resting. Surgery was rough for me...all the meds in the hospital made me really sick. My pain is only in the port area so I am taking the liquid vicodin. Hope to feel better and back to normal soon. It is only day 2. I hope to be out and about a bit by Tuesday. Talk soon, Linda

Hi Leslie, Thanks for thinking about me. I am only 4 days away. Excited and worried at the same time. I just want the surgery to be over with so I can get on with it and start the process rolling.

How is your pre-op diet going? I am struggling. But will do my best. I will be more strict next week. Keep in touch.
