Pre Op Diet Questions
Why did your surgery date get changed, did your surgeon just want to torture you?

Ugh! Halloween candy is here.
I moved 3km outside of a small country town in a street that has no small children and in a country where Halloween is only just catching on. It seems to have worked

Liposuction, breast reductions before sleeve
I'm a little confused. You had your boobs reduced , then enlarged then reduced again? You realise that if you have dramatic weight loss your boobs are likely to change shape again. Will you be going for a further boob op? I see your sleeve surgery is this week. Good luck, hope it all goes well.

Gallbladder n sleeve together?
Have you been diagnosed with gallbladder issues?

The link between high protein diets and cancer
Uh oh, this thread seems to be rapidly devolving!

Health after sleeve??
Surgery of any kind generally triggers a flare up of cold sores for me, as does going to the dentist. My high BP went down, had to come off pills but then it went up again. Mine seems to be genetic rather than weight related

Laxative- safe?
Metamucil can be helpful

After my surgery I'm looking forward to...............
I enjoy bushwalking, so much nicer than walking aimlessly round suburbia. We went on holiday to Vietnam earlier this year and spent a couple of days trekking in Sapa, it was amazing. The scenery is spectacular

Can't handle the day? Must have a cookie. Emo/Stress Eating!
At the moment it’s not something I’m very good at but here are some suggestions that might help. Keep busy, if you are engrossed in something such as painting, gardening, sewing etc you tend to forget about food, especially if you are covered in dirt. Have healthy alternatives that you enjoy available. It s no good having snacks that you don’t like because then you either won’t eat them or you will eat just for the sake of eating and then still be looking for something you like. Dont have problem foods in the house. I know if I buy a packet of biscuits(cookies) they will be gone in a couple of days because I will keep eating them.

Hiding threads
I don’t have an issue with it, as a non software wizard it just sounded like it would be really difficult. If it’s possible it would be great. Not sure what your they / she comment is about?

Port Tenderness - 9 years out
The last couple of nights I have had quite a lot of tenderness in the port area.No idea why, I haven’t done any exercise that would aggravate it. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what the cause was

Things in School I thought I WOULD NEVER use!
I think algebra and geometry are useless. I couldn’t care less what x equals. However my husband is a QS and he uses geometry all the time, for him being able to work out the area of a triangle is essential

Things in School I thought I WOULD NEVER use!
If you ever travel outside of the USA you might discover that metric system is quite useful. I always wonder why it didn’t catch on in the US,it is far easier to have things in increments of 10

Hiding threads
The only entity Facebook suits is itself and it’s advertsers, it certainly doesn’t make its newsfeeds suit its users requirements. If it did we would see status updates from all our family and friends instead of just a select few and we wouldn’t see all the sponsored rubbish.

Hiding threads
I would think it would be really hard to suit trending topics to each persons individual requirements. If something is annoying then we have to learn to move on. If something is inappropriate then it should be reported and hopefully it will be taken down.

Slipping back to old habits - scared
So if the way you stay on track is by being obsessed with calorie counting and tracking continue to do that. Work out how many calories you need to maintain and add it into your plan. It might seem obsessive but if that is what works then stick with it

Swallowing liquids
As a bandit drinking has often been like that

Slipping back to old habits - scared
It is good that you have recognised this early as that means that you can nip it in the bud. Give yourself a talking to. Make a list of what you can do and wear now that you couldn’t before. Look at your diet and do some planning. Make sure the foods that you are allowing yourself are tasty and interesting. Look up some new recipes. Plan to have a reward meal ( not huge but something you really want to eat) if you have kept to your other targets

Weight gain!!
Are you currently eating low or no fat items such as yogurt, milk etc? If you are then switching back to the full fat varieties could be a good place to start. You won't be eating any more and if you find you gain too much its easy to switch back again.

H Pylorie test
Phone your Dr, explain the situation and see what advice he/she gives.

Requirements to be a VET
Thats ok. If you are like me you look at the new or trending topics on the side and that doesnt show what forum something is in. That is how I sometimes end up commenting on something that is in the Men's room!

I Hate Food Sometimes!
What surgery did you have? What stage are you at? What is on your plan that your Dr gave you? Then there is weighing up the can against the should. Sometimes just because you can do something doesnt mean you should. Is pizza a trigger food for you. Will eating it be the start of falling back into bad habits. You may want to consider making a pizza without a base ( just use the cheese and the toppings) or there are lots of recipes online for pizza made with a cauliflower base that are healthier than the regular kind

"Other " support sites
I agree. I always try to be kind and helpful. I would certainly never turn round and say to someone that the reason they need a revision is because they drink so much! There is always a degree of interpretation when things are posted on the net and sometimes things don't come across the way they are intended. I think it's pretty hard to misinterpret this though!
