  3. Oh thank you so much. LOL at the lonely posts! I hope the absence of replies doesn't mean this may be an option for me. I will be seeing my surgeon soon, and I know he will give the the thumbs up or down. A year ago, he thought it could be a possibility, but still recovering from complicated hernia repair, he said to wait a year. A year is up! Thanks again Denver 52
  4. Hi all! This looks like a great place to get info on lapband. I am a 5 year colon cancer survivor and I have a colostomy as a result(and my life!). I have I had 3 peristomal hernia repair surgeries. They have all been very intense and difficult. I have another hernia, and need to have it repaired before it turns into emergency surgery(like 2 times before!). I guess I am looking for other ostomates who may have had the lap band done and how that all worked. My wonderful surgeon has a doc in his office that is doing lap band work, so I am guessing I could have it done at the same time. Or I am wishing anyway. I have so much to learn about this, and know I have to have a consult with my surgeon soon, but wanted some knowledge first. Thanks for any help!
