  1. I really hope that as you gain confidence in yourself you gain strength as well. Your post scares me and makes me really sad.
  2. During the mushy stage you have a hard time getting Protein. With 600 calories you could possibly not be getting enough to eat either. What do you eat in a particular day? Are you drinking enough Water? Honestly overall you are doing great, if we could figure our bodies out this board would not be needed!
  3. Yay you!!!! When I had my sweet spot I could go all day and not even think about food. For me my sweet spot is more of a mental thing than a physical one.
  4. your full warning could be really subtle or glaring. you just have to in my opinion feel around so to speak till you find your full cue. I precut all my food so I know I can't absentmindedly get too big of a bite. The opening of your band is about the size of a pencil eraser, the flow through is the width of your bra wire. Gage it by that. I tend to put my fork down in between bites, it seems to work for me though I have gotten stuck more than I care to admit! Forgot to say that there are foods that I can do one day and can't do the next or vice versa. Its worth it to retry them. I have done chicken noodle Soup one day, tried to eat it the next time I went to the restaurant and it got stuck. There are many foods for me that stick every single time and I don't even try them anymore. Bread, eggs, etc will not work for me but do work for some friends of mine. Experiment, have fun and remember what works and what doesn't.
  5. The fact that you posted this shows that you changed your life! I think every once in a while you can splurge!
  6. I'm thrilled. I do wonder what would happen with banding and fills with this bill!
  7. This morning I woke up super tight. No worries just amazed that I haven't had a fill in months and felt loose, then bam tight. I drank hot tea this morning and I feel better, but this just goes to show that just when you think you know your band it shows you that you don't!
  8. Where are you located in the city? Send me a PM if you feel more comfortable doing it that way:)
  9. We bought a vitamix blender. At first I didn't want to spend the extra $$, but am so grateful we did. It blends everything including whole frozen strawberries, and it has a lifetime warranty.
  10. your weight is going to be funky for a while on the liquids. Maybe you are retaining because of sodium?
  11. I asked my fill tech this. He said you get to know your band, you tend to eat a bit more, or exersise less.
  12. A stuck episode can last quite a while, try to get through it. The ER won't help much, does your doctor have an after hours number?
  13. Kirstie Alley's show tonight on A & E tonight?
  14. I would still love to do a KC get together, anyone up for starbucks or Panera?
  15. I do Robek's because I found most of the Smoothie King shakes scary(up to 2700 calories). They will make any combo of shake for me, and are awesome:)
  16. awesome job! You are obviously doing something right!
  17. Have any of you tried ezekiel bread? It is supposedly easier on the band and has quite a bit of protein.
  18. I have worked out almost 2 weeks straight and the scale went down almost 2 pounds this morning. I am holding my breath that it stays off. Thanks for all your tips.
  19. So sorry to hear about your friend. What a terrible outcome.
  20. Its potassium, I use Morton light salt in my food if I need salt and bananas. My leg craps have all but gone.
  21. could you have had a band that had some Fluid in it the day of surgery? Either way, congrats great weight loss!
  22. wanted to add when I was at my sweet spot I didn't even think about food, I wasn't scared to eat, but instead had to remind myself to eat.
  23. Be careful. I got a super tight fill. I was happy that I was losing weight, 10 pounds in a week. I knew in the back of my head that it was wrong. I got to the point that I was scared to eat. I prolapsed, had a complete unfill and then proceeded to GAIN 15 pounds in the 2 weeks that I had nothing in my band. If you prolapse once you have a great chance of doing it again. I am struggling to even find the restriction I had before that fill that derailed me. Don't think that things will get better, if you have any doubt in your mind that you are too full please dry the hot liquids in the morning, try cutting food a little smaller, if those things don't work get a miniscule unfill, it will make a world of difference!
  24. I agree when you lose 3 pounds in that time frame you are a bit to tight. Its amazing what a slight unfill would do for you. Bottom line is that you shouldn't be afraid to eat!
