I have not seen six since I was six!! Great job. You better believe it counts--find you a good wall and get your sexy lean on!!I like the way you think!

So its a bit of a brag but I bought a dress and a suit yesterday in a size 6. I started this journey about a year ago at an 18. Qutuestion is does it count if I can't sit in it yet? Of course I bought it! I was in shock!

Would love to know if some of these people being hard on you have never been in the same situation.
I keep muscle milks in my car since I travel alot. I have one of those hot/cold bags in my car and do that. Hope this helps!
I wouldn't worry about it. I often get gelatto here and have lost over 80 pounds in about a year. I am not too worried about the occasional indulgence to be honest.

My Dr. uses that technique too. I have to admit I am glad this thread is continuing in a more positive light. I am 2 weeks out of surgery and today while waiting on my post op appointment. A lady came into the waiting room spreading the horrors of her band and talking about how she is switching to bypass. *sigh* I am trying to stay positive, because I think has been great so farSydney
I slipped 2 times and had my band replaced. Bottom line is I have no regrets!

Most people can not eat solids in the AM when they start having true restriction. When you sleep you don't really swallow which causes your band to restrict and be tight. Drink hot liquids in the AM(I like carnation instant breakfast so at least I get some Protein in the AM) and your band will loosen up.

Most people that have had the realize band have not slipped. Actually I am the only documented slippage from the realize band in my large practice. I have done everything right, but sometimes slippage sometimes happens. The band is in my opinion is still relatively new the doctors seem to be learning about new things about it by the minute.

The telltale sign for me was when I drank Water. The water just sat and wouldn't go down. Also I had quite a bit of reflux at night. Finally I had some chest pressure. It is not easy to slip, chances are you didn't.

Well I tired a bit of pudding tonight...it is not on my diet menu but I thought it might be okay if I can hold it down.did buy some high Protein boost shakes tonight, and I will see how those go. The thought of the taste of Whey makes me sick. I live in a small town and can not really get anything else for a shake besides what I have.
There are a ton of options online for Proteins. Check out Amazon for just a few and read through the reviews for somewhat of an idea of how they are.

carbs namely white ones are really hard to get through the band.
I have gone totally vegetarian so it is possible to do it while banded

Anyone else have issues with richer foods? It seems like some cheeses(goat. blue, etc), and lately the greek yogurt and sour cream don't sit well. Am I crazy?

800 calories is not enough! Sounds like your body was in starvation mode. I would stick to the extra calories!

never thought I would be so happy to see overweight!!! Congrats!

BTW our stats are almost identical! When were you banded?
-
you are in the home stretch! I would take 1/2 a pound a week instead of the stall that I am at right now!

could you give us an example of your daily menu?
