Hey Leanne. Let me give you my personal email so that we can talk whenever we need to. I usually use the computer at work and sometimes this site is blocked. I don't generally get online when I'm home because there is no time between work, school and two kids, not to mention a husband. You can email me anytime @ elhusa2000@yahoo.com. I will still visit here whenever possible. I am thankful that I have someone that I can talk to about this whole thing. GOD always puts the right people in your life at the right time.U pray for me and I 'll pray for you. Hope mto hear from you soon.

Well here I go on the roller coaster ride:eek:. I just received a call today that pushed my appointment that should have been on April 20 up to July:eek::scared2:. I haven't even started the process yet and am already being pushed around:confused:. I plan to have this surgery and if it takes me not taking no for an answer (EVER!) then thats what I'll do. I won't give up. I won't take no for an answer. i want to be aroung a long time to share life with my wonderful husband and children and this surgery is whats gonna make that happen. Please pray for me to have the strength and patience to deal with the roller coaster ride that will end with my successful victory.

I am from Mississippi. It would be nice to go through this with someone else. I just got a phone call from the doctor pushing my appointment up to July. here we go on the roller coaster. I'm going to ride it til the end though. The race is not given to the swift but to the one who endures it til the end. I want this surgery abd I plan to do what it takes to get it done. Please pray for me and I will pray for you. How hard was it to get financed for self pay just in case my insurance doesn't approve me?
  6. OMG!!!!! I am so proud of you. I can totally relate to you. I have not been banded yet and Still have to turn sideways to get down narrow isle. I haven't crossed my legs since I was a little girl and low rise jeans have NEVER been part of my wardrobe. I hope that I can someday write my motivational stories here for people to read and be inspired. Thanks so much. You have made my day in more ways than you can ever imagine.

I read your post and since you asked readers to post a msg. I wanted to do so. Your story is inspiring to me. I haven't been banded yet. I have actually just began my journey. I have had surgeru though (2 C-sections). Going under the knife doesn't scare me but the cath can be painful if you are awake to feel it. Thanks for easing my mind. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking

I enjoyed reading your story. While reading I almost changed my mind anout getting banded. I know it won't be an easy journey for me but I plan to work hard and meet my goal. I'm so sorry that you had to go though what you went through. Its all a learning experience though. You learned not to let that doctor poke around on you the second time around. God bless you and keep your head up. One question though....... What state are you in?
  13. It is wonderful to hear your victory stories. You make me want to get banded rught away. Great job

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm not sure if my insurance will pay but I surely hope so. If not I will just have to bite the bullet and pay for it myself. I am determined to get the surgery either way. I have been overweight my entire life. Have been on BP meds since I had my first child at 16. I have been given several kinds of BP meds just to figure out what kind actually works for me. I want to be around to see my son (2yrs old) grow up along with my daughter (14). I want to be around to play with my grandchildren and great grandchildren. I want to be able to go to the waterpark with them and actually enjoy being there. The funny part is that I am actually not t big food person. I don't eat much but I just can't seem to lose any weight. My mom and both of my siblings are very thin but I guess I didn't inherit the "thin" gene. Again, thanks for the encouraging words.
  15. Is there anyone out there from Mississippi? I am thinking of using Dr. Cunmmings @CMMC Bariatric unit. Anyone here use therm???:lunch:
