I was afraid of the surgery, I've never had surgery so we can relate to that. You need to talk to your doctor about it. You'll be under the anesthesia and you'll be in good hands, I was banded on March 20, 2009 and the day of my surgery my husband and my 2 best friends were at the hospital. I prayed that morning and all I remember is getting prep for surgery, getting ivs and my dr, my nurse, my anesthesian asking questions, and I was rolled to the surgery room and getting swaped to the surgery bed and that is all I remember. Until I was put in the recovery room, and was in and out do to the anesthecia. You should do it for you and only you, and don't worry about what people are going to say, people will always talk wether its good or bad just remember that this is for you and only you. I wish you the best ;)
