On my way

I'm on my way to a new life. Im a self pay that will be having the band in July, right after vacation. Ive been looking for a site like this to read and talk to people that are where I am and where I want to be, and how they got there. :smile: I'm a mother of three 22,12,9, and want to be around for a long time. I have around 150 lbs to lose :scared2: and the only way is with surgery.

Good choice, you are going to like the lapband. It is a slow loss, but I have come to understand.....slow is good.

I too would like to be around for my new little ones, I have 7 children, ranging from 29-----2 yrs old. I love them dearly, have a great husband.....got to live to be at least 85 yrs old!!

This is going to be good for you, I am so happy, got a real chance at the weight loss.

I am from Mississippi. It would be nice to go through this with someone else. I just got a phone call from the doctor pushing my appointment up to July. here we go on the roller coaster. I'm going to ride it til the end though. The race is not given to the swift but to the one who endures it til the end. I want this surgery abd I plan to do what it takes to get it done. Please pray for me and I will pray for you. How hard was it to get financed for self pay just in case my insurance doesn't approve me?

Hey we are neighbors. Well the dr calling may be a good thing, that is when I'm planning on having my surgery. And the thing you said about the race is what our pastor said today in his message. 4-19. And it doesn't matter how you start out but how you finish, so hang in there and you are in my prayers and thank you. As for self pay we are using some savings and having to save the rest. I told my husband I didn't want to take that much money away from the kids and family, and his response was money now or you for another 10-15 years. I still have mixed feelings about it and then there is the added pressure of all this. I have failed at every weight lose thing I have tried and now this much money and what Im taking away from my family, I just pray this is the right thing to do. I know that the only way I will get through it is by the grace of God.
