  3. Hey Corliss! Sorry I didn't answer, my laptop was broken & I just got a new one! LOL I have to go fr a port revision on Friday. Mine decided to do a flip! How are you?

  4. Haven''t seen you on chatt in forever, where ya been, how ya doing?

  5. I notice when I drink plenty of water, my loss is a bit better. It is funny how all Dr's are so different. I was eating about 1/2 cup per meal and was told that I actually wasn't eating enough! I am allowed up to 1 cup per meal. Preferably lean protein of course. I go for my first fill on Monday where I will get 4cc's. Hang in there, it will get better. Take it one day at a time! Cheryl
  6. Oh boy, you sound just like I did! I was so depressed I wanted to find a Dr. to cut the damn band out! I know it is so hard at first, but believe me from someone who has been there (and maybe felt worse) it will get easier. I thought I wouldn't make it another day, but I hung in there and now I feel pretty good. I still have off days, but when I step on the scale I realize how worth it this will all be. Hang in there and feel free to send me a message anytime if you have any questions. Cheryl
  7. Me too!! I was banded 6/16 with no fill either!! I am head hungry all the time!! However when my belly growls I try and make sure to eat protein. I get my fill 7/26 and the nurse said the Doc puts 4cc's in @ the first fill:scared2: A little nervous to go from nothing to 4, but I am sure it will be worth it when the pounds come off!!
  8. Hi Patty!! Thank you for your suggestions. I am doing better everyday & have started helping someone I know that will be having surgery soon. It makes me feel good to be able to answer her questions!! Cheryl
  9. Hey Corliss, 203 lbs??!!!!!!!! WOW!! That is awesome!! Congrats! Thank you for your kind words & suggestions. I am so happy to hear of someone who has had such great success. Cheryl

    JUNE 2009 Lap Band Surgery

Jilla, Penn is so right..do not beat yourself up. We have just begun our journey and have not gotten to our "sweet" spot. You are doing fine! You are not gaining 20 lbs at a time. Plus, make sure u are not weighing yourself constantly. i did that in the beginning and it drove me crazy!! I would be down 6 lbs in the morning and up 5 in the afternoon. Take everything one day at a time. We did not get heavy overnight, so we will not get thin overnight either. Take care and remember, you are doing great!!!

    JUNE 2009 Lap Band Surgery

Yep, I feel your pain!! I was just thinking the same thing last night that boy I could eat anything right now. (of course I don't!) It's so frustrating!! But, this too shall pass and we will be loving our new healthy lives & bodies!! (at least that's what I keep telling myself)
  12. I was just wondering how you are feeling? I am doing much better, thank God!! Please keep in touch!

  13. Thank you for your kind words. I have to say, I am doing a lot better than I was. I know exactly what u mean about the mashed potatoes!! LOL:tt2: Congrats on the awesome weight loss!! There have been a couple of great people on here who have reached out to make me feel better & I truly appreciate them & now you!! Thanks again...
  14. I was banded on 6/16 and I know what you mean by finishing your food and feeling a bit hungry. For me, I believe a lot of it was head hunger though. It still amazes me that small amount i can eat and get full. I do not get my fill for a while either. But like a bunch of the others said, in the beginning our stomachs are swollen and now that they are healing, the band is just sitting there, not really squeezing it too much. Once we have the fill, I think we will start to get that satisfied feeling. (at least i hope! LOL) Take care!! Cheryl:biggrin:

    Stomach pain

Oh boy, I had those stomach pains & plenty of loud noises!! The pain lasted the first week. Most of it for me was hunger pains, but your body will adjust. The gurgling slowed down after the first week too, but every now & then it starts up again!! (only noise, not the pain) Hang in there, this too shall pass!! Congrats on becoming a "bandster"
