Hey everyone! I was banded on 3-11 and still on the clear liquids. My Dr. recommended that I drink, or sip 6 oz. of liquid for every hr I'm awake. It helps to be sipping through out the day. I do eat the jello and broth also. Some drink ideas for you, and if anyone has any different ones let me know... Isopure, Diet Snapple, Propel, and Fruit2O. I was told to aim for 64 oz a day. But, I also get that bloated feeling and tummy rumbling.

Oh, i know exactly what you mean! Im having the same rumbling in my lower stomach, like Im not eating enough. I'm 4 days post op, and preying this feeling will go away! I'm also on the clear liquids, ie-isopure, broth,jello, apple juice. Did anyone have a Hiatal Hernia repaired during surgery? -
Good Luck! The best decision you will ever make. I just got banded last weds and I'm on my way. You soon will be too!

Hey there.. Small world huh? i was dating a guy in soddy daisy,lol anyway... i hope the next couple of days go by fast. I have my appt tues am for the blood work and upper GI, have u had it done yet?

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site and very excited because I am having my surgery Weds morning. I am very fortunate to live by a major Lap Band Surgery center in Chattanooga, TN. Msperson...Thats awesome. My surgeon called me Thursday and told me they had the 11th open, so I jumped on it. I have been on the liquids for only 4 days. Its all good now, the first day I was lightheaded and miserable, I just slept,lol -
Hi Barbara! You have already made the hardest decision, and that was to have the surgery done. I am having my surgery Weds, the 11th, and I was pretty nervous when they called me to schedule the date. I knew then that there was no backing out now. lol But I am so ready! I just keep telling myself that the next week or month is gonna be better, and Im gonna feel so much better. Good luck on your journey, its worth it!!

Good luck to both of you, it sounds like you are on your way!! My surgery is Weds, the 11th. Im so looking forward to it! My co-worker was like you before her first fill. She said she could REALLY tell the difference after the first time and nervous transitioning to more solid food. Please let us know how it its for you.:confused:

Wow, I had no idea that some many people are going to Mexico. If anyone is intrested, Chattanooga TN, and Dalton GA have one of the pioneering surgeons. THankfully my insurence is paying, its 17,000. here. What is the cost in Mexico???

Hi there, Congrats on having your surgery soon. I will have mine Weds, and because they scheduled it so soon, I won't be on the liquid diet for long. I have been on the pre-op liquid diet for 3 days now. Its no fun,lol. liquid goes in liquid goes out. My stomach is constantly rumbling. I'm basically eating slimfast, jello, broth, diet coke, water and Propel. I have gotten alittle light headed a few times, so if any one can help us, it would be apprecieated!
