hi! I go through pioneer valley sugical group (its apart of baystate). My doctor is dr. Haag. I love him. he was recomended to me by my friend. He has a wonderful sucess rate, meaning rarely his patience ever have complications. i was banded on march 20th, so im 12 days out now, and i really feel decent. occationally I'll bend the wrong way and get a little paing of something, but the pain for me has been very minimal (and im a big baby!) I really think the hardest part for me has been the hunger due to the liquid diet im on to heal. everyone said that food would be the last thing on my mind... well that wasn't the case lol. everything is doable, no real pain, and soon i will be the woman who i want to be!! keep me updated and let me know how all is going!

hi Jim,

camping two weeks out eh? You are a brave man lol. I feel like you may still have soreness, but it should be manageable. I would not attempt to sleep on the ground though. I couldn't sleep comfortable in my bed for quite a while after surg.. maybe 3 weeks or so. I am just over 3 months out and I feel really great! I am down 40lbs and down 2 sizes. I just feel so much better. You will be amazed how you feel afterward. when you have your surgery make sure you walk walk walk afterward and take gas X. It makes life much more tollerable. Also don't be too hard on yourself if you feel really tired after surg. I was exhausted for like a month after... totally normal! You will do great,and it will be the best thing you will ever do for yourself! good luck.. feel free to message me with any questions you might have.

ten days out of surg and lost 9 lbs!

hooraay i was banded on march 20th and healing is happening! now my journey begins. my highest weight was209, at surg 203 and currently 194 just after 9 days!
