I say grape crystal light, but I buy my groceries at Walmart and I often get the "cheaper verson" of the crystal light. So maybe there is no grape crystal light, but it is the good values version. But there is no difference in the two brands in my opinion.

My workout section of Ipod is certainly different than my guilty pleasures section. My work out music is Static-x, ,Ministry,Marilyn Manson,Metallica,Pantera, Drowning pool, rob zombie, etc
The rest is things like Dr. Hook, Little River Band, and a little embarassed to say things like old Lionel Richie and maybe, just maybe a song or two by Barry Manilow.

mine is always green because I'm obsessed with grape crystal light. Does it to me everytime.

These places are in business to make money. Why should they give up their livliehood because I have overindulged myself and developed an eating habit in my past life. My choices are not somebodies elses problem, whether it's a corporation or just a single person.

remember a while back there was ebay auction for the Band itself and all the tools to do it? THAT was creepy!Nana~
You are kidding me!:omg:

When I fineally am able to get my band I will stick to the no carbonated beverages...I don't want to take any chances that something goes wrong cuz I drank pop.I'm with you. I am too scared to mess this up. I gave up all carbonations 4 weeks before surgery to make sure I could do it and wouldn't be wasting my time with the surgery. I too was a diet soda junkie. I have not hardly given it a second thought since a week before my surgery now.

Good Post!

I try to stay away from buffet's because I am still having a hard time controlling my "head hunger". Plus, I want to succeed with this band so I stay away from temptation. My family fully supports this decision and they are trying to eat better too so they don't have my problem in the future. You guys that can go to buffets are alot stronger and braver than I.

Wish I had a picture of it at work. I have a white 2006 Dodge power Wagon Quad cab. 4 inch lift with big tires. Mean MO FO!

I actually have that book. I think I will sit down and read it. (Bought it 2 years ago, LOL) I have a week before my classes start so this will be my last chance anyways.

This may not be a smart decision but since I know I can loose weight short term on Atkins. I have decided to follow it till I get my fill on sept 12. I have no restriction and can eat probably whatever I want. I know the first 6 weeks is not about losing weight but about healing, but since I am 3 weeks out and I can have food. This is what I"m gonna do. Hope I"m not making a dumb decision.

. But for whoever threw their Inamed LapBand card away? The card Inamed provides (it's often in the new LapBand patient packet) is NOT for restaurant discount reasons. It's so that other doctors and emergency personnel can understand your new slightly-altered anatomy. It is very helpful: all my other non-WLS docs have a copy in their patient files for me, and I make sure they put one in my hospital patient file when I go for non-WLS procedures like PS, or my sinus surgery. I don't want anyone intubating me without understanding I'm banded.
And yes LapBands don't go off in regular walk-through metal detectors but they can 'go off' when airport or other security personnel use hand-held metal wands, at least 50% of the time. Often the authorities assume it's my belt buckle but I know it's my Silicone Freeloader, LOL.
Just my .02.
The only card I ever got said I had WLS so could I please order off the children's menu or something like that. It just said RESTRAUNT CARD across the top of it. It never said anything about INAMED or anything like that. I would have kept a card that had more to do than just for restaraunts.

beat of luck to you from a fellow NEVADAN!!I had my surgery done in Reno also. Dr. Watson (hottie doc) was my doctor too. I am scheduled for my first fill on Sept 12, 06. Does he do them himself? I thought a nurse or someone did them.

I wish I knew how to start a poll. I think this would be an interesting poll. Something like,
Yes I deserve a discount at rest. because I had WLS. or
NO, I don't deserve one.

I threw my card away when I got it. I feel the same as someone earlier on this thread. I don't want special treatment just because I had WLS. If price is an issue to me I will just stay home and eat as that is always cheaper than going out to eat. My 2 1/2 year old son always gets a meal off the children's menu and rarely ever eats hardly any of it. But I don't think I should get a discount because of what he did or did not eat.

I took 3 weeks off because I had vacation to burn. But I could have gone back fully in 7 days no problem. I could have gone back in probably 4 days but uncomfortable.

For rib sticking warm goodness, blend Campbell's Bean with Bacon Soup until its completely smooth, then heat. This saved me and many others I've told about the soup. Also, be sure to get in your Protein via natural whey Protein suppliments. Mixed with skim milk and other various goodies, these shakes will help you recover quickly, fight infection, and take the edge off that hunger until you can start eating mushies.
I've been mixing my Protein Shakes with light vanilla soy. very tasty.

Amazing how different news broadcasts have different information. I heard that John Ramsey had not idea who John Karr is. Of course, I heard that on my local news.

Tomato Soup is my all time fav...........sour cream? Parmesan cheese??? omg I have to try that!!! I usually have mine in a mug and drink it....goes good with the grilled cheese. Hmmm can I eat grilled cheese (ever) after having a band??? (i know not right away...just wondering if I have to lick it---i mean kiss it goodbye.......LOL:pgrilled cheese sandwhich dipped into piping hot tomoto soup is my FAVORITE comfort food. Even over french fries. And I love me some french fries.

I had the same feeling for about 7 days post-op. All is going away with reduction of swelling from the surgery.
What's in your Ipod? MP3?

I LOVE OTIS REDDING! I wanted to name my son Otis after him, but my husband put his foot down. And he doesn't do that very often, so he really hated the name.
