3.9cc's in 4cc band. restriction fading

I have never had a fill done under x-ray. He did measure the fluid he took out, and it was same as the time before. But I had really, really good restriction for a month before I started feeling looser.

    TT and boob job

I want to get both these at the same time. I am quite a long ways from goal but I am going down fast. I was just curious what weight I could be when I just start going in for my consultations. I was thinking 180. Let me know what you all think or know. Thanks in advance!

    TT and boob job

I think it probably depends on your insurance. I know mine won't pay anything. Then again, they didn't pay for my lap-band surgery either. Most insurances won't pay for any kind of cosmetic surgery.

Possible to lose w/o ever being filled?

I met a guy at my support groups that had lost 160 lbs, hit goal and never had a fill. Everyone is so different that you just never know how you will be. We should all be so lucky huh?

    Anyone know why?

same here with the french fries. I would eat tons of french fries at least every other day. (hmmm wonder why I'm fat?). Now I don't crave them and if I do havea bite, even a teeny one and chew like hell, it gets stuck. no matter what. good thing I'm done with that.

    Outsourcing

I hate outsourcing as a customer who may call a hotline for whatever reason. They pick up the phone, you cannot understand them. They have such a heavy accent. I just wanna say " excuse me sir, I know your name is not Kevin, or John, or whatever you just told me. "
  9. I'm so happy for you. I went almost 6 months with no restriction and I have the same size band as you. I was also a self pay. good for you.:clap2:

The Biblical Case for Pro-Choice & Stem Cell Research

I wonder if god can create man and earth and pretty much everything in history why he cannot make sure people (including little kids) don't get terminally ill diseases that there is no cure for. Guess he is too busy damning 9 year olds (and older) to hell if they deserve it. Gotta have your priorities I guess.:biggrin1:

The Biblical Case for Pro-Choice & Stem Cell Research

WOW. I just found this thread today. Abortion is murder. That is a very bold statement. There could be some murderers among us. Creepy thought. OH PUHLEASE. :rolleyes

    major restriction question

Okay, I have just had my 6th fill 7 days ago and with pretty much anything I eat I cannot eat more than 4 to 6 oz. But I made that soup that is bieng talked about in the food thread except I added elk meat so I could get my protein. Even with eating the elk meat I can eat alot of that no problem. even with the chunks of celery, carrots, peppers, etc. Because it took me almost 6 months to get restriction, I wake up every morning worried that today my restriction will be gone (even though that hasn't happened). So I guess I am just bieng paranoid that when I ate this soup (which i pre-measured into a 6 oz bowl. ) I was still hungry afterwards. I know different things go down differently, so maybe this is just one of those foods that will go straight through my band. because I cannot even eat a 1.76 oz body for life protien bar without bieng very full. Anyways, anybody out there have any thoughts/ideas? TIA.

What is your current fill in your 4cc band?

My new doctor did an upper G.I. that is how I found out I had not stretched my pouch. Also, my surgeon told me that it is very common to put 5cc's in a 4cc band. I thought I read earlier in this thread that someone currently has 6cc in their 4cc band. If that's the case then I wonder why they don't call it a 5cc or a 6cc band. Go figure. My new doc told me something about how he is not allowed to put in over 4cc's in my band because he is regulated by fill centers not to do so. Good luck!

How many times to eat a day

I have this same feeling sometimes. That my little tummy is full but my regular tummy is growling. Very odd how that happens.

What is your current fill in your 4cc band?

I'm a little worried. I have finally hit restriction for the first time in the almost 6 months I have been banded. the thing that worries me is that I am 3.9cc filled in my 4cc band. I'm worried that when/if this ever loosens up with weight loss that I will not be able to reach restriction as I am pretty much at capacity now. On a lighter note. I am loosing !!!!! gonna focus on that right now. Unforuntately I had to change doctors which also meant I had to change cities. I was driving 4 hours to Reno to get filled by a nurse who was not ever sympathetic to my plight. She was worried I had stretched my pouch which I thought was impossible to do if you have never had restriction. I am now traveling to Salt Lake City Utah, which is 4 hours the other direction. I was referred there by Fill Centers USA and after my first visit I have reached my sweet spot. And everytime I go I will be seeing an ACTUAL DOCTOR. Which I prefer. He was wonderful, sympathetic, and super nice. His name is Dr. Muse. He is in Salt Lake City on Highland Drive. I would reccomend him for anyone's aftercare. P.S. My pouch was not stretched in the least!!!

    Where did you lose first?

I'm sure it is definately different for everyone. Me myself, lost it around my hips and butt first. Also my face. I probably have lost alot around my belly but there is just so much there that it doesn't look as drastic yet.

    Apples, oranges...fresh fruit

when I'm traveling and really have no choice but to go through a drive thru- I always hit mcdonalds and get those fruite and walnut w/ low fat yogurt snacks that are pre packaged. They are apple slices with the peel and grapes with skin with a little low fat yogurt and a few walnuts. I cannot even eat one french fry without it getting stuck (thank god that was always my downfall) but I can eat this fruit no problem as long as I chew well. Plus it is only 210 calories which is better than every other choice at mickey d's that's for sure.

Biggest protein bang for the buck

I've had every one on that GNC page and my favorite is strawberry. If they are too watered down tasting to me sometimes I add it to vanilla soy instead of Water.
