  1. The c/s was worse. My first c/s was horrible, but my second was pretty easy. Being banded was a breeze!
  2. Mine has been all over the place, but then it was never exactly regular before because I have PCOS. I just had it two weeks ago and low and behold it started again. I don't know if it is from the weight loss or all the exercising I have been doing lately.
  3. Best of luck to you with the breastfeeding when that time comes. I successfully breastfed both my boys, although I was not banded when I had them. My first son was bf till he was 12months and the second was bf till he was 16months. It was the greatest experience.
  4. I know how you feel because I just had my first fill yesterday and no restriction. I'm praying that my second fill will give me some kind of restriction.
  5. I had my first fill yesterday and that is such a weird and crazy experiece! I now know that I have a 11cc band and they put in 4cc's. I still don't feel restriction on it, but I do go in 3 weeks for another fill. They are really happy with my weight loss and so am I.
  6. I lost 0 pounds, but I didn't gain any either. I'll admit it, I didn't really diet. I did exercise like my ins required, but I didn't really watch what I ate.
  7. Just wondering what everyone is doing for exercise? I am doing 4 times a week. I do the elliptical for 30 mins and then a few mins of cool down. I just started this because of my wisdom tooth surgery 2 weeks ago. I finally felt like getting back into it. Just wondering what is working for you.
  8. I was told I could have milk too. Hello all....just checking in. I have officially lost 40 pounds and I am so excited to say that. I had a few pounds set back last week because I went out to eat and just enjoyed myself and didn't worry about what I ate. The biggest loser at the Y started yesterday and me and a friend signed up for that. They took my total body fat and it said 45% and that was pretty sad. I have 5 more weeks till my first goal. I wanted to be down 50 pounds by my 30th bday and I know I can do it! I hope everyone is doing well in band land!
  9. WOW, You look like a completely different and new woman. Congrats!!
  10. I'm curious about the drinking too. My 30th is next month and I don't plan on getting drunk, but I would like to be able to have a few.
  11. I was banded the same day as you and I have the same issue. Two of my sites that have scabs, I also have a stitch coming out. I just snipped it a little and have left it alone. My sites seem to be healing well, so I figure the stitches will go away on their own.
  12. I finally made my way over to this December thread. I just had my wisdom teeth taken out last Wednesday and the band is nothing compared to this. I have lost 10 pounds since Wednesday because of it. How is everyone doing with their band?
  13. I mourned food. The night before I started my liquid diet I actually broke down crying and tried to eat as much of my favorite food as possible. It did get better, but those first 3 days are the worst. Best of luck to you.
  14. I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed on Wednesday and I am still feeling like crap. I maybe get a protein shake and a bowl of soup down a day. I have lost nearly 7 pounds in 4 days. This was not what I had in mind when I wanted to lose weight. My band surgery was a piece of cake, this is killing me.
  15. I dropped 26 pounds on mine and most of that was in the first week. My surgion never told me of a specific weight to lose. It is mainly about shrinking your fatty liver. Good luck.
  16. I understand why they call it bandster hell now. I hate that I can eat ANYTHING right now. I am trying my best to limit my intake, but it is so hard. I had a good restriction up until about a week after surgery. Now everything goes down with ease. I haven't lost anything for a week and it is very frustrating. I still have 3 more weeks till a fill and I can't wait. I havent really had too many food restrictions because I could start mushy foods 2 days after surgery. And now I can get anything down as long as I chew really good. Please tell me others are going through this! Bamablondie1 - I didn't have that, but I have heard a lot of people talk about how they did. It actually seems kind of common.
  17. I am sharing all of your excitement with the 299! I stepped on the scale today and that is what it read. I have been lingering at 300 since Monday.
  18. I was told as long as you were not taking any pain meds. I had my surgery the same day as you. By Monday I felt fine enough to drive.
  19. Sorry to hear those of you who are having a tough time getting back to normal. I generally bounce back pretty quick after surgery. I feel really lucky to be one of the ones who went right back to work. Surgery on Thursday and back to work on Monday. I must be crazy, but I go in for surgery again a week from today to have my wisdom teeth taken out. EEK. I'm more scared for that than I was the band. For those of you who are back to eating a half way normal diet: How do you make it through the day without getting hungry all the time. I am on soft foods and it seems like I am starving. I am trying to limit my intake and not have many snacks through the day.
  20. Merry Christmas early everyone. I am a week out from surgery and feeling fantastic! I still have some soreness in my port area, but other than that I feel great. I have been able to start eating soft foods and that feels good. It is hard to limit yourself once you are finally able to eat. I took my kids to Burger King for lunch today and I made sure I had a protein shake before we left. I nibbled on just a few fries, so I think I did pretty good. I hope everyone is doing well with their bands!
  21. I already have a food confession. I broke down and had a piece of pizza. Let me say is was yummy, but I feel guilty. I know we are going to have weak moments, but I wasn't expecting it so soon. I guess because I'm finally getting back into eating I couldn't help myself. I can't wait for my first fill and maybe then I wont feel so bad when I wont be able to eat as much.
  22. I was able to have mushy foods 2 days after being banded. I don't know how some of you do it for so long after. I would be absolutely starving.
  23. Good luck everyone who is being banded this week. I am 4 days out and I am finally starrting to feel like myself. I am I am so excited that I have lost 30 pounds since the beginning of all this!
  24. I was told to wait 2 weeks.
