Why such negativity ?!?!?!?!
I have found a couple of woman in my area that I have been in contact with. It is nice to find support. When I do find out for when when my surgery will be, I will look there. Thank you. I guess I was just expecting more of a welcome.

Pschyc evaluation....
It is very easy, I just had my on Wed. They get into your family history and why you are over weight. What all you have tried as far as diets. I was asked to role play so they could find out exactly how much I knew about the surgery and before and after care. My husband just wanted me to find out if I was crazy or not. LOL

Breastfeeding in public:
Woman have the right to breastfeed anywhere that you can give a baby a bottle. I bf in public, but I do try to be modest about it. I'm not one for flaunting. I have had people tell me I can go to the bathroom. You wouldn't eat your dinner sitting on the toilet, so dont tell me to feed my baby in there. Although, it seems like if you are bf'ing people like to stare. I had one woman just keep staring at me...like I was a freak or something. I have to agree about loving to bf. I cried when it was over with my first son. It is such a bonding experience. There is nothing better than the milk drunk look they give you while milk is rolling down their chin. I love the fact that my body made that beautiful child and now it is my body that is going to give them nurishment.

Breastfeeding with the band
I have not been banded yet, but we are looking at a possible surgery date in late May/early June. I am breastfeeding my son and plan to do so until he turns 1 in August. Does anyone has any experience with breastfeeding with the band? Do they not do as many fills so you can get the extra calories that are needed? Luckily I will only have a couple months left of breastfeeding, but it is not something I plan on stopping until August. Thanks

1st pregnancy
First off...Congrats. I know everything seems overwhelming right now. But those motherly instincts kick in! With ds1 we told immediate family right away, but were cautious because of a previous m/c. Once I was out of the first tri, we told everyone. With ds2, we told everyone when I was 8 weeks since it was right at Christmas. I would say tell people as you feel comfortable. And start looking for daycare now! Around here it is almost impossible to get an infant in. I liked the book Your Pregnancy Week by Week. I did not care for What to Expect While Your Expecting.

Hello, Pre-lapband,with ambilical hernia
I found out in 2001. I also suffer from infertility, but thanks to a wonderful RE I found I now have 2 beautiful little boys. Don't get discouraged, it can happen. I dont know how this site is about posting other sites, but have you ever checked out soulcysters.net? It is a site created by someone with pcos and there is a vast amount of information there. And tons of woman to help with any questions. If it wasnt for that site, I doubt I would have been able to be so knowledgable about ttc. I use the same name over there. I have not been banded yet. I went to my first consult yesterday and I go tomorrow for my psych eval and meeting with the dietician. My insurance covers it and they told me they are one of the better ones. I was told I should be able to get banded around May/June.

Hello
Hi, my name is Tracy and today was my first consultation. I go back Wednesday to have a psych eval and meet with the nurse and dietician. We are hoping that all goes well and surgery will be in June. I am 29 and the mother of 2 beautiful little boys. They are the light of my life and the reason I am doing this. I want to be here for them. I look forward to getting this journey going.
