  1. I definitely want to lose 125, but I think another 25 would be my all time goal. Does anyone have anything they plan on doing once they lose the weight? I plan on going into Victoria Secrets and buying a bra! Sounds corny, but I have never been able to buy a bra from them and I want that experience.
  2. I like this one: December Delights
  3. My surgery isnt for another month, but a couple weeks ago I had to go out and buy a new pair of jeans. These are the largest size I have ever bought. So yes, I will be forever keeping those jeans to remind myself of where I am now and how I will never be this size again. My husband even suggested keeping them so show my progression.
  4. Congrats!! I had to jump through a lot of red tape too and was over joyed to finally get approved. I literally cried on the phone with the insurance woman.
  5. How much weight is everyone wanting to lose? I am hoping for 150lbs How many self payers are there? Luckily my insurance approved and will pay the majority of it.
  6. Welcome...I started freaking out about the surgery last night. I guess I have just be so excited to finally do this, that I forgot about hey I have to have surgery first.
  7. Hello everyone!! I live in Quincy, but at going to Dr Sid Rohrscheib in Clinton and will have my surgery in Champaign. I also have PCOS and went to a RE in Springfield to conceive our two boys.
  8. Can you post a link to the group? For some reason i can not find it.
  9. How much weight is everyone looking to lose? And was their an inspiration in your life that made you want to do this? I would like to lose 150 lbs. I need to get healthy for my 2 small kids. They need their mom and I want to be around for a long time for them!
  10. I am so excited to say that I finally have a date set!! This has been a tough road, but I am finally here!! My surgery date is Dec 17...exactly 2 months before I turn 30. I hate that I am going to miss out on all the Christmas goodies, but it will be worth it. My drs office is 3 hours away and the place I will be having surgery is 4 hours away. So not looking forward to the drive. I go in Dec 2nd for my pre op appt and to start my 2 week diet. I am looking forward to a new me in the next year!
  11. Only 1 more week and I should know if I am approved or denied for WLS. I am going to be on pins and needles. I just spoke with my ins and they said mine is set for review next week. And I could even call back as soon at Wednesday! Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
  12. HUGS. I know how you feel. We went through fertility treatments to have both our boys. It was something that I was really private about. Everyone knew we were having a hard time conceiving, but they didn't really know what was going on. When we had ds2, they had no idea we were even trying for a second. I am the same way with the WLS. My dh knows as well as some online friends and my mil. She is the one who has helped out when I had to go to dr's appts. I think i would kick dh where it counts if he did that. Best of luck.
  13. I will give them a call! I'm just concerned it is going to take forever. I am suppose to have my wisdom teeth taken out. The dentist office sent a letter 2 months ago to get it approved for me to have it done in the hospital and I still haven't heard anything back from that. Although, I would much rather have the lapband than get my wisdom teeth out.
  14. Love the elliptical! I do about 30 minutes and burn about 400 calories. Definitely gives you a good work out.
  15. My info was submitted 3 weeks ago and I'm just wondering how long did it take to hear from your insurance? I know they said it could take a couple of months, but I'm so eager to find out. I just pray that I am approved!
  16. Congrats on your continued success. And best of luck in 7 days!!
  17. Thanks, that is awesome. But I just found out I wont have to worry about it. I have to do a 6 month diet and wont beable to resubmit till around October. I will be done breastfeeding by then.
  18. Rachael - I will be interested to hear how everything goes for you. I have taken fenugreek before. I dont want to give up bf'ing if my surgery does come before I am done. Good luck thursday!
  19. Congrats on your weightloss and you ablility to breastfeed. I hope my dr can get in gear and get all my info sent to my surgion so they can get it submitted. I'm getting antsy! Thanks for sharing your story.
  20. Thank you for the reassurance!!! And congrats on your continued breastfeeding and the weight loss.
  21. Thank you for your replies!! It means a lot that you took the time to help.
  22. Thank you for your reply. I was told by the dietician that I may have to discontinue after surgery because I might not get enough in those first few weeks. Although I'm hoping if my surgery does end up being in June that I will be close enough to ending. My son will be 1 August 1st and plan on doing it till he is a year. So June he will be 10 months. Although I do not want to give him formula (personal choice), I hope he will be on enough solid foods so I wont have much of a problem. They did talk about postponing surgery until I am done. I guess I should just wait and find out more when I find out when my surgery could be.
  23. I have not been banded yet, but I had this same problem with both of my c/s. It started around 2 months and lasted till around 6 months. I didnt know it was from the trama of surgery. I always assumed it was because of my hormones.
  24. Thanks for your reply. I cant wait to get a surgery date. The clinic will be submitting all my info in about a week. They have to get all my info together first. I am so ready for this!
  25. Thank you for the welcome.
