I got my fill in atlanta at a usa fill center and I asked not to be filled to the max because i was afraid of vomiting but i really don"t have enough restriction now. it takes awhile for the swelling to go down and really see what your restriction will be. also you must go very slow with adding soft foods and chewing really good.Iplan on going back and getting another fill.remember vomting can be dangerous so eat accordingly.

Does anyone know a md who is reasonable priced and does Mexico patient"s fills?

I would go back to the Md that did the band because they will be more concerned with your outcome and will correct it if needed . if the band slipped you you would probably be too restricted with vomiting.

Hi, I was banded in monterrey, mexico by Dr.Rumbaut, a wonderful M.D. I got my first fill in october by Dr Hugh Houston in Nashville ,Tn.It was under fluro, the only way i would ever have it done. I am a nurse and to me this is the safest. it cost initially 605.00 and the next one will be 400.00. with fluro. look up The centential treatment center for obesity and you can find him. the hospital is a center of excellence. I had my surgery in monterrey, mexico by Dr. Rumbaut, a kind and wonderful MD. My first fill was in nashville ,tenn. by Dr. Hugh Houston. he takes mexico patients. the cost was 150.00 for fluro in centennial hospital. 250.00 for first consultation and 205.00 for his doing the fill. next time it will be 400.00 for fill and fluro. my port is deep and i don't want fills without fluro. My only complaint has been since i went to mexico to have mine done , finding a reasonable priced md to do the fills in the us has been a major task. it's not impossible but try to get this set up PRIOR to surgery to greatly reduce your stress later. YES i would do it again, River

thanks for the info.i would feel more safe having a MD close at hand if i had trouble . so far no vomiting ,just some chest discomfort if i eat too fast or take a gulp. River

hi, have you talked to dr.ponce yet? does he do the fills with fluro? how much does he charge? i was planning on going back to monterrey due to the high cost MD's were charging here. im was banded on 6/15. i can already tell my appetite is getting too big again so i will need a fill in 6 weeks post op. thanks, river

Hi,Lana Ruth, I believe it's normal to get the jitters the closer to the procedure because one moment I want it and the next I get scared. I had to ask myself what will I be like in a year from now if I don't and to be truthfull I probably would still be fat, unhappy and most important on my way to a heart attack or stroke because it runs in my family. I don't have the self control to loose wt without some kind of help. then I look at my skinny pictures of the past and I really want to look and feel like that again. At least this is reversible if you decide you can't stand it but I bet when the LBs come off you will be happy. Good Luck, Audrey
