Hey everyone!! I'm back from my Branson trip!! It was so good , I didn't really want to come home, but as some one said, All good things must come to an end. I did go out 3 times to eat at a restaurant, and made good food choices and I did eat my proteins first, so I think I'm learning something!!

I go the Dr. tomorrow so I really had no choice but to do good!! I sure didn't want to mess up all my hard work from the last few weeks !! Talk to ya later!!

Well time is rolling on! When I 1st started this, back in Aug. 08, I thought I would never see the end. It HAS been an experience Tomorrow will be 1wk.,I go see my Dr., then 2wks. my surgery!! I'm not to nervous right now,I'm the type of person that if I have to do something that is unpleasant, I just want to do it and get it behind me!! I 'm still on the pre-op diet and was really doing good until last nt.,we had potluck at Church and of course, everyone wants to bring their best and trust me, there was nothing healthy there!! So I just got a small portion of most of the chicken dishes,there was some veggies there but they were fryed ( I'm from the South and we fry EVEYTHING down here! ) So I hope I didn't do to bad! Well, I gotta go,I'm going fishing for 1st time this yr, I LOVE fishing, and I'm taking 3 of my grand kids,15, 8, and a 4 yr. old, probably won't get to fish much, but it will be fun anyway. :thumbup:

Hey there, BG,been reading some of your writings and you are HILLARIOUS, I'll bet you are so fun to be around!!!! I love all the extra things you add. Hey I even saved your " I peed my pants ", I'll probaly need that later when I need a pick me up moment! Keep on doing what you are doing, cause you are the best!! Oh by the way, my bday is April 24,and like you,I hope to be sipping on chicken broth( I think I will freeze and put a candle in it so I can blow it out!! Oh wait, I can't do that cause all the candles would just thaw it out!! ) lol Anyway I LOVE what you are doing.

I've had a minor set back, I hope it's minor! One of my tests came back bad so now I have to take some meds, retake the test 04-03 and if it is stillbad, I can't have the surgery untill I get a good test!! I have to take 8 pills a day for 14 days and thats not counting my vit. No wonder I'm not hungry, I'm full of PILLS!!!!!! So here's hopeing this will work out alright!!

Hey,MsE, thanks for the comment on my name! It is a nick name my Grandfather gave me when I was just a baby( and that was a LOOONG time ago) but he was THE best!!!! And I sure do miss him, but anyway I have BC/BS of Neb. and I've been approved for surgery on 04-06, so maybe you will get approval too. Keep in touch!

Today I have 3 more wks. to go before my surgery! I go the Dr. in 2 wks. and then 7 days later I heve my Dr. I can't hardly believe it! It has been a LONG prcess!! So far I'm doing pretty good on my pre-op diet.

Boy are you right! I finally took some Tilynall and it left cause I'm now on day 6 and no headache! And I'm not all that hungry.

Here it is day 2 of my pre-op diet and my head hurts, I'm hungary and I lost an hour of sleep last nite but other than that I'm having a wonderful day !!!!!!!!!!

Hey, if you haven't found it yet there are groups on here by your surgery date. It helps to get support from people who are at the same place you are. Just go to the forum tab and then down to groups, click on 2009 and then it will give you a choice by month. Start a thread there or join in one and let people know you have a date. Keep blogging here though, it can be your journal of how you're journey is going. I'll be joining you soon (maybe in April!). -BG

Yesterday I went to the Dr. and hospital for all my lab work and tests, boy, I sure didn't know so much had to be done! All that thick,nastey stuff I had to drink!:cursing: But now that is behind me and now I can start on my new and exciteing journey! I sure could use a LB buddy about now! So if anyone one is just starting thier new life,get in touch with me. My surgery date is 04-06-09, so this is just my pre-op diet.

Hey, Lighterload, I went for my consult at the Dr. today and I have got to start my pre- op diet tomorrow. My surgery date is April 6, and like you I AM determined to do good on it. I can't eat no more than 800 or 900 cal. a day and I have to get 20 gm. of protein in a day. Lets keep in touch so we can keep each other encouraged.

:cursing: Tomorrow I start my new life by going to the Dr. for my consult, and my lab work and upper G I. I am 55 yrs old and soooo ready to feel good again ! In a way I'm excited but then in a way I'm sort of nervous. So SOMEONE OUT THERE,Please, wish me luck !

Hey, everyone ! This is my first time to blog, in fact this is my first time on the web site and I am so glad I have found this ! I don't know anyone personally who has had the LB so I'm depending on you guys for support ! I go 3-06-09 to the Dr. to start my diet and then on 4-06-09 I have my surgery. So I will be on here as much as I can for all your help and guidence !
