  1. I am down 36 lbs from my maxed out weight. I am down 30lbs with preop diet and surgery on March 9th included. I've been trying to do a daily exercise program, a lot of times it is just walking. I am going for my first fill tomorrow, the 17th. And I can't wait. I have been so hungry and hardly have any restriction. I hope this first fill helps just enough to start losing again. Right now I am stuck at 30lbs. It's discouraging but I know I'm not gaining so that is the main thing I focus on!!! :sneaky:
  2. Hi, I was banded on March 9th. After mushies I pretty much ate what I wanted but was very careful to take my time and chew chew chew! I had lean hamburger with steak sauce or anything that would make it moister, chicken breast with barbeque sauce, etc. The key is to eat chicken, etc with kind of a sauce on it to help it go down. Vegetables, I've tried about all of them. Like I said I chew my food so much it's liquid substance. But I also feel it's how much restriction you have. I'm at the end of my 5th week and I'm hungry and can eat whatever I want. Which is not good because I'm maintaining a 30lb loss not losing anymore. But I go for a fill tomorrow. I would watch fibrious foods just in case. And I found out a lot of information online and from talking to other people. Hope I helped somewhat and good luck!!! :sneaky:

    March 19 yay!!!!!!!

I had my lap band on March 9th. My wbc was also elevated the week before but I had a sinus infection. It can be something as simple as that. So if you have been sick or anything don't worry about your wbc.
  4. March Melters sounds great to me also! My surgery date is March 9-- Dr. Michael Canady

    Liquid diet time

I'm starting my 14-day pre-op liquid diet that consists of 2 cans of slim fast protein, low carb shake, sugar free carnation instant breakfast with 1 cup skim milk, cup cottage cheese, 1 cup dannon light and fit yogurt, 15 oz can vegetarian vegetable soup, quaker oatmeal weight control oatmeal, 3 servings of fruit (1/2 cup each serving), and 48-64 ounces of water or sugar free drinks, no caffeine, no carbonation. I have to have all this every day for 2 weeks. Is anyone doing the same diet or something like this? I know every surgeon and weight loss center is different. Any tips and advice? Thanks!!!

    March 9 surgery date

Hello. I'm having my surgery March 9th also. I also have some fears about it too, but you are right about gaining right and causing more health problems. I believe it will be so worth it in the end! Happy weight loss!
