  6. Angie35 Congratulations on your recent banding that is fantastic! Re: hunger sometimes it can take 3-4 fills before you reach your sweet spot in terms of restriction so hang in there, stick with the program...the best is yet to come. becky

With me it took awhile before I got to my sweet spot in terms of restriction...and it took about 3-4 fills GRRR very fustrating but you will get there just be patient...sounds like you are doing all you can so that is great...soon you wont know yourself. keep us posted. becky

  11. YAY Luvinke! Not long to go now...what a journey you have been on so far aye...bet you wondered if you would ever get here... I have had lapband for almost 2 years now and I don't regret it for the world...it has been tough at times...and fustrating and my rate of weightloss hasn't been ideal but it IS working for me. You will be absolutely fine...the best is yet to come. keep us posted. becky

Jason...its tough, I know...I am a slow looser also and I know it is my own food choices and lack of exercise that limits my weightloss...but I try to make small changes here and there...and get out there and exercise...I feel so much better about myself and the scales begin to show my progress. best wishes becky

  19. becca yes there are changes to be made...but the results far outway the sacrifices...I am 2 years in almost now and I can eat most things apart from red meats...GRRR but I am ok...the first few weeks were rough...there is light at the end of the tunnel...and as you stick with the program interms of your liquid diet etc...you will start seeing the weight fall off and that will be all the incentive you need to keep on going. Congrats on your impending surgery and keep us posted. becky

  24. LLSibley it takes approx 6 weeks to heal entirely some people less some people more...dont worry about it...give it some time and you'll be fine.. becky

I say try and follow the plan from day...1 it will make things so much easier in the long run...I ate too soon and my band did stretch a bit...so I dont have nearly the same amount of restriction I would have if I had stuck to the program....but I am still loosing weight...albeit slowly so I havent mucked things up entirely...but a big part of this process is retraining your mind! and your internal conversations with yourself...start now...and you wont regret it later. becky
