  1. Start to get the food part under control (do what you need to do) whether it's get a fill or seek help for food addiction. Most importantly start working out again! Now that spring is here take those 4 babies out for a nice long walk or walk up to a park or something like that. Then once you get your "work out feet" moving again amp it up!!!! You can do it!! Take it 1 day at a time. I got off track on my work outs too for months and i'm finally back at it and I work out 3-4 days a week. I take a free step aerobics class that is being offered at the local community center and the other 2-3 days i'm on my own. It's not quite warm enough for me to take my dog out for walks yet (I live in Michigan) but I have different videos that I rotate.

Good luck getting back to it, after all you didn't lose 80+ lbs for nothing!!

  2. Hell to the NO! I do not have a single regret! I am over 2 years out and I feel great! I regularly exercise and I'm healthy. I am 50 lbs away from my goal weight and it's totally been worth it!!! I am a much happier person.

  3. Welcome to LBT congrats to you on your decision to lose weight!! The pureed stage was hard. I failed at this stage. I primarily ate "soft" foods. Like pudding, Jello, mashed potatoes, cooked carrots (mashed) that kind of stuff oh and scrambled eggs. Good luck to you! Your next few weeks will be rough but it will be totally worth it!!! This is a life changing surgery (for the better of course) and you will be going through alot of changes in the next year as you begin your journey.

  4. I am definitely glad that everybody has been supportive of my decision. It would be tough about being surrounded by people who think they know better. Kudos to you for taking this step and getting the lapband to change your life. It has definitely changed mine!! I am 50 pounds away from my goal weight and cannot wait to get there! I am loving my life!

  5. Congrats Marisa! It takes courage to keep getting your fills and doing what you're supposed to do even with no results. I'm glad you are finally starting to get some awesome results!!! Congrats to you!!!! I'm fortunate that the band worked for me from the get go but it is a long, hard journey! I'm 2 years out and I still have 50 lbs to go!!! Having the lapband is definitely not an easy way out of loosing weight!!! It's just a tool and it's gotta work. If it doesn't work for you it is so easy to give up and congrats to you for not letting it get the best of you!

  6. If it's a turn off then oh well the guy isn't worth your time! thats what I think! If you tell them that you have the band they should be supportive and respect what you've gone through and are currently going through. I've recently found myself on the dating scene after breaking up with my boyfriend of more than a year and i've been very up front about having the lapband and so far they've respected my decision and have even given me kudos for taking charge of my life.

  7. Thanks for the advice! I have a lot of toning to do on my legs. I don't really do weights unless it's a part of the exercise video I happen to be doing then I usually do 3 lb weights. I used to be much better at working out but then kind of got out of it over the summer and now I want to get back into the groove!!!

  8. I am 120 lbs down and still have 55 lbs to go until I reach my goal. I still see myself as fat. Even though this is the thinnest since I've been 17 years old!!! Its hard letting go of your hang ups about your old self. On one hand I'm a little more outgoing and have more confidence but on the other hand I still hold myself back. I know that doesn't make sense but I know I have a long way to go! IDK if I will ever feel "thin".

  9. Yea being stuck like that sucks. I didn't loose any weight for a good 6 months and then all of a sudden my weight loss picked back up and I have since lost 30 lbs. Just keep doing what you are doing. Make sure you are working out, staying on track with your eating. Maybe re-evaluated what you are eating and change it up. My doctor told me "there are times you loose and there are times you shrink". I didn't pay too much attention to that but it always stuck with me and how true it is!

  10. Be proud of your decision to become healthy don't ever be ashamed!!! If people ever give you crap about it (I've never had anyone ever be negative about it) but I would get right back in their face and be like well this is my business and not yours and I did the right thing for me and basically you can shove your opinion up your you know what!!!!

  11. Hi and welcome to LBT! Just make sure this is the best journey of weight loss for you. The LB doesn't work for everybody. On January 28th I will be 2 years into my journey. I have lost 120 lbs so far and want to lose about 55 more. I do not regret one minute of my decision. I knew this journey was the right one for me. Good luck with your weight loss journey hopefully soon you will be setting your surgery date!!! Good luck to you.
