    December Bandsters 2009

I had my surgery on December 7th, 2009. On November 9th I started my pre-op diet all together I have lost 39.5 lbs., three clothing size and around 7 points off my BMI. I had my first fill on Feb. 9th he put in 4cc and I'm on clear liquids for the next 72 hours. Would not change a thing best thing I have ever done for myself. Just make sure that you do what your doctor tells you to do. Good luck it is wonderful to lose the weight.:rolleyes2: Not sure how to update the tickerfactory.com

    New energy-----New agendas

Hi there I was banded on Dec. 7th,2009 and you are right it is life changing. It took 11 months to have my insurance approval and I'm so glad that they did. I was just this week able to start exercise and I never thought that I could get up at 4:20 a.m. and go and get in a swimming pool but by Friday I was looking forward to it. I also feel better the rest of the day. When were you banded? Keep up the good work.:smile2:

  7. Hi,

Sorry I've not been on here for a while. I'm doing great I feel so much better. I had my surgery on Dec. 7th,2009 and as of 1/30/10 I have lost 38.5 lbs. I have not had my first fill yet. I hope that you are doing well.

  8. how are you doing now? I guess your surgery is done and you are on a liquid pahse still, or mush phase. I had mine (re-done) on Dec 23rd, after a failed one on Dec 17th. I had to have major diaphragm surgery before they could do the first one, causing the band to seal and nothing would go down. I then needed emergency surgery to take it out and put in a new one. But today I am six days into recovery and feeling fairly good.

I don't need a drop of pain medication, nor nausea meds, so I consider I am on the mend. I becamse so dehydrated from the first one, not knowing nothing was going down...threw up three times and was really really sick.

In my case, a doctor I did not choose did the first surgery and my own doctor "assisted." It was not done properly and I could have died. I could hardly breathe, either. the hospital let me go home before I could rink or breathe. lots of mistakes, but the good news is that I got my own doctor after all and he did it right.

  9. Just stopping by to check in on you. Hope all went well with your surgery. Make sure you save me a seat on the loser's bench.:smile2:

  10. good luck today. hope all goes well. I will keep you in my prayers.

  11. I live in Smithfield. Dr Enochs in Raleigh is my doctor. Where are you from?

    December Bandsters 2009

I think that I would call on Monday to get something sit up for after my surgery. It may just be a cyst or something else.
