Hi, I would love some more information!!!!

I've been doing well since my surgery 9 days ago...I almost didnt feel banded ( wait this gets better)...Ive had mushie potatoes and cottage cheese...what a breeze!! So today I thought ..Gee..Im hungry...SO I grabbed a string cheese from the fridge....60 seconds later I was bent over the sink in PAIN..PAIN I tell ya!!! Stuck. I started spitting slime like nobodys business....and then...BURP...BURP...no more pain.... Ya know...Ive read about flamming golf balls and PBs....Now I know why they are so hated. UGH!:speechles Bring on the soup anyday.

I have 2 Low rider Bassetts named..Elvis and Knee-high, I have a Boston terrorist named Baci , I have a cat named "bit" for obvious reasons and a Blue front amazon Parrot named Fred.....Fred has a passion for obsene words and masturbating in front of guests... Who needs kids? HA!

In Kentucky!! Far far away... I was feeling brave...and stupid about 30 seconds later. Lesson learned.

Hi, I had mine done by Dr Sanchez and I just loved him. The hospital was so great and the guest house is very nice...boring..but nice. ALso there is a DR that lives in the guesthouse..so I felt good knowing if problems came up..he was there. Mario the driver took us to a flea market and then to the mall....Ill put my 2 cents in for him. Good luck

well..sister...we were banded on the same day...Ill bite the bullet on this one...you can do it next time....lol Just a word of advise...DONT DO IT...lol...it does suck just as bad as they say.

Yepp...mushie potatoes and cottage cheese came highly recommended.....I am however having second thoughts. Back to soups and protein shakes for me...ugh.

WOW...I guess it took me by surprise. I didnt think I would be able to just....FEEL IT!!!! LOL...i ran squeeling thru the house like I just saw a spider the size of a small car. Im only a week out...I guess Ive been swollen...but...there it is. Its on my left side 4-5 inches below my bra line. Anyone else feel it?:omg:

ME TOO!! my chest was killing me!!! I tried to walk around but I just couldnt get a really good deep breath in. I came home and took off my bra and put on this really stretcy undershirt...ya know the kind that is mostly spandex? its really tight ( but with good stretch) and it feels so much better!! I dont know why...but from now on im walking with it on ( with a Tshirt over it of course..lol..I dont wanna kill the neighbors)...whew!!

Hey everyone! Well..my surgery went really well and Im feeling almost back to normal!! Tomorrow it will be a week since my surgery...and Im finding that Im getting really hungry. Maybe im not eating enough? Im eating about 1/2 cup to 1 cup of soup a sitting. I just started having a protien shakes and I feel alot better...anyone seem really hungry?

Hi Guys! ( or girls...lol) I have a Celtic lotus on my right ankle...its pretty large. On my left calf...well..I have an entire sleeve. Ankle to knee. Its hard to describe but its a Koi fish in a bubble floating thru Water with cherry blossoms and traditional lotus flowers. Its pretty wild. Very bright. If I can loose enough weight I want to get a backpiece of a very large mermaid.

MY band was put in yesterday! I flew into MX and straight to the hospital for me! everyone was so nice and the hospital so clean!! It was more like a hotel room! Anyway...Im a little sore and a lot gassy....but things seem to be fine. Im walking alot and trying to drink.... The weird thing is...my stomach keeps growling? It that gas or is my body adjusting?? :grouphug:

YA wanna know the real hard fact?....This site makes me want to give up. Thats right...GIVE UP. Dont you people realize that this affects peoples lives? Im about to be banded on friday...and instead of reading posts about support and information...all I see anymore is fights and BS. Get it together...this isnt fair to anyone.

Well..its 3 days for me too! Monterray here I come. Im being banded by Dr, Sanchez....anyone else??? Im trying to keep super busy and not think too much about it...but there are moments I just cant help it. :help:

okay...so Im flying to MX on Friday to be banded by Dr. Sanchez.........and Im so worried. I know that Im doing the right thing!! I also know that life changes are coming....and Im excited..scared..and a whole lot of other things I cant explain. Im also going this alone...Im worried about silly things like...loosing my glasses between pre-op and recovery...Im worried about loosing my passport and getting stuck in MX with no way home....My head is full of so much stuff!!!!!!!!!!! I need a little clarity a little .....bright light of hope...lol.

Well, I fly to MX on friday! Man...am I scared. We should all keep in touch...I dont know of many around here who have had it done. Anyone else have a date yet?

Hi!!! My name is Holly and I am being banded on May 26th by Dr Sanchez in Monterray, MX. I am a self pay. I currently weigh 280 and I would like to have a goal of 180. Im single with no kids and will be going it alone. Im so scared, but I know what I'm doing is life changing and life saving. I see my parents that are obese with diabetes...and I just dont want to end up like them. Anyway...and help would be welcomed with open arms!!! Thanks! Holly

I havent told my parents either. I just know my mother will FREAK out! I have told all my friends and they are my backup. I still am totally devoted to having it done and have begun to get really excited. May 26...just around the corner.

I've known for a long time I wanted to be banded. I've done the research, I finally got financing and my surgery date ( may 26th in MX), and now as I read this forum I get so scared. Band removal, weight loss of 15 pounds in a year..pain...agony...is it all really that bad???? I know that Im getting more and more scared every post I read....and then..I see the before and after pictures..and they are amazing. I see that some people can do it...but are there more failures than winners??? Someone give a bright light of hope...I sure could use it.:nervous
