hey there women. I have moved onto a new forum there are sooo many people who the band did not work for them. I had my revision on March 1st. And although i was in sooo much pain and a lot more air and gas, so far it's been worth it. I'm 3 wks out and feeling great and I'm down to 184 from 198 on surgery day. I'd say if you get a chance...do it. Here's the forum im on more now...it will help you with your decision....

i am in the same boat! The band has not worked for me. It's been a year Feb 25 and has hardly done a thing. Im too scared to do gastric bypass tho.

Hey girl! I have been at a standstill with weight for about 2 months now! Getting a fill this Friday, hopefully get this thing going again. I know it's hard, food is always hard! Just remember its mind over matter!

Not that good. Haven't lost much. I fell off the wagon, but have recently gotten back on track. It's hard!

How are you doing? Haven't heard from you in a while. Just wanted to say HI and see how you were doing. Things are going well here. Still on my 3rd fill and doing good. 30 lbs. down now, even lost weight on vacation! That was awesome. I am going to start going to the gym soon, so maybe that will help things move along even faster. Hope you are doing well. Write me when you can!

have you talked to your doctors? maybe they would have a suggestion! how many cc's do you have in your band???

I have been, and I am restricted. I just have found ways to eat around the band I guess u could say ... eating ice cream and things that go down real easy. So embarrassing. Just dont know what to do ... go back on the liquid and start all over from there?

I was banded on 2/25/09. I did real well for the first month and lost about 20 pounds. However, I have fallen back into all my old habits and gained back almost all of it! I feel like a complete failure! :biggrin: I know I need to jump back on it QUICK but feel like I dont know where to start or even how to do it! HELLLP! :tongue2:
