  1. Hello, I recently had a baby and had all but 1cc let out of my band. 3 months ago, I went back and he added 1 cc - really did not do much and I didn't lose any weight. Went for a fill yesterday to get things moving and now I am having a tough time. Water goes down...but slowly and I feel that "glug glug glug" feeling ALL the time. I constantly have that air-release feeling (like a burp) like every 15 minutes. I tried to eat some crab salad stuff (very finely chopped - pureed texture) - only small bites and it just sat there. They I tried to drink a little milk later and everything came back up, including the salad. Right now, I am trying to drink warm coffee and normally warm beverages give me no problem and once again it is sitting there and doing the glug-glug thing again. Any help is appreciated. I am not hungry at all and I always had hunger before. Doctor said it was time to "get aggressive" with this and I needed to use the band like it is supposed to be used, but I am afraid of being dehydrated!!!

Not Sure If I Need To Be Un-Filled...

I ended up getting .25cc out and it is SO much better! I couldn't even swallow my own spit yesterday morning. It was so scary! Thanks for all your advice!

    Very frustrated!

I am so frustrated with my progress and this band! I had a 3cc fill on July 15th and I still have no restriction I can eat a whole sandwich - doughy bread and all....3-4 pieces of pizza etc. STILL! I go back for another fill on the 12th of August! I haven't lost any more weight since the pre-surgery diet - I read that people are unable to eat bread etc. and only eat little amounts...I have a little restriction in the morning, but by dinner, I am wide open! Any suggestions on what to tell the doc? Is there hope?
  4. I was banded on the 26th of May and randomly throughout the whole day, I get this pain in the middle of my chest and have to burp to relieve it...this goes on ALL day...rather embarrassing at work  What is causing this? Also, I am starting not to have any restriction at all - I can eat more and more each day it seems - will this continue until my first fill? Every time I drink liquids though, I get that pain again in the center of my chest for a minute, then it passes....will this last forever or go away as time goes on? Thanks!
  5. Hello everyone! I was banded on 5/26. Within the past 2 days, I have had this constant annoying pain in my left chest area - like right behind my left breast. I have tried stretching etc. because it almost feels like a muscle strain or something. I am not vomiting or anything - I haven't had barely any restriction since the swelling went down and can pretty much eat anything (which I have been doing unfortunately - bread will give me a little problem if I eat it too fast). My first fill is on July 14th. Could my band have slipped this quickly? I am getting worried. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!
  6. Hi everyone! I was banded on the 26th and have a few questions....I am on the full-liquid diet the first 2 weeks and I am starving today and yesterday. I am living off of cream of tomato and cream of mushroom soup, cream of wheat and carnation instant breakfast. I am always light-headed and dizzy - does anyone have any "filling" suggestions? I am so hungry. Also, when I am on regular food, will flour tortillas cause the same effect that bread/dough does? I love mexican food and I really am sad if I have to give it up. I heard pizza dough is a definite no-no also. What things do each of you have to stay completely away from (on a reg diet)? Just so I have a heads up I am so sore still and I have to go to work tomorrow - ugh! I am an RN too, so I will be on my feet for 8 hours. I am thinking of taking the liquid children's tylenol instead of the liquid lortab because it makes me so dizzy/loopy.
  7. My doc gave me the go ahead with pretty much any food if "I felt ok" - he often advances people if they are tolerating mushies etc. ok. Well, I feel like I have no restriction (no fill yet) and I am going overboard! After being on a liquid pre-op diet and then post op liquids, I am so thrilled to be able to eat real food. My hunger has returned with avengence and I ate 2 pieces of pizza today  I feel like such a glutton and wonder if this isn't going to work. Please tell me this gets better after a fill (my first one isn't until July 14th).
  8. So, I feel terrible. My wedding anniversary and my birthday are this week and I have been DYING on this liquid diet with 1 cup of fruit a day - I was light headed and have 3 boys under 7 years old that keep me running ALL day! Anyways....I ate pizza.... and it was like heaven....but now I feel defeated. My surgery is a week away....will I still be ok? Ugh. I feel so blah! Kelly
