wow! i have had three fills with the most recent being yesterday also. i have always been advised to have liquids for two days after and then 4-5 days of soft foods. today i feel like the fill was pretty tight but i know that after 3 days it will feel perfect and that i will once again be eating very small portions. seems to me like all doctors have their own rules for fills and diets. i am restricted on carbs with only a certain amount i am able to have in one day. i have lost 60 pounds, so it's okay with me.

i had lapband surgery on 02/09 and have lost 60 pounds. i can assure you it isn't as obvious as being morbidly obese. sure it is a little lump but, i am lovin' it!

yesterday i had my first fill. my dr. put a a large amt in, asked me to drink a little Water, and it was stuck. he said that is what it feels like when it is too tight. then, he took out a bunch, i drank water again and it went down okay. so, he put a bandaide on it and poof! away i went.
today i feel like i have no restriction. i feel like had more before. geesh, i have lost 30 pounds and i feel dangerously hungry now like i could eat my way back to the starting point. will this change for me? do i call and ask for a little more? what do i do now? i feel like i have no lap band at all. scary. if someone knows, please drop me a note.... thanks.

hi wendy, everyday seems a little better. this morning i feel almost pain free, except the reminder of the "port" ... i will give that time. i am doing well on the post op diet , just like you! can't wait till tuesday when i get to have "mushies" whoooo hooo !!! take care and have a great week!

thanks for the advice , i did ask the nurse. she stated that it is "normal " and that the present pain will pass in time. i started taking adult strength tylenol liquid and that works well for me, i can function too without that drugged feeling, thanks, karen

hello wendy, hope today brings you to feeling more comfortable. i was surprised at how long it is taking to feel good. i thought it was an "easy operation" a person would quickly bounce back, as in a day or two. wow! reality check for me. i have found that everyone is different and has their own healing time frame. i am feeling more comfortable, slow but a little better everyday. i find the left port pain to be the real "bugger" ...hang in there, know that i too am having the same "discomfort" and that i am keeping you in my thoughts. take care.

hello fellow band members, i was banded monday, feb,2nd. i too have "port pain" . maybe they could invent a better way to do that. i would feel wonderful if the port pain were gone. anyone know how long it lasts? i would love to know . i would even count the days. hugs to all my fellow band members.

 yippie!!!! i am almost there !!! monday mornin' here i come. i realize it is a tool, the first step in a long process, but i have already lost 20 poungs, feel better about myself, and wear one smaller size in jeans and shirts!! i am a yo-yo'er so i have plenty of sizes in my closet to choose from. today i begin the two day liquid only diet to prepare my liver for final shrinking. i plan on shopping, being away from food and having a lot of laughs with my husband. i have been pretending he is food. i chase him and try to bite him. he is fast so i do get some excercise in! he sure is great suport. i will be thinking about all my fellow to be banded members today.

good idea! i need to get one. i have lost 91 pounds since being banded on february 2nd '09 ... i feel like i have some loose skin and an empty double chin... wonder if i could get a body shaper that would be like a turtleneck? lol!!! well, beats being obese i suppose. feeling great. i think i'll look into some of those "spanks" my friends were telling me about though. good luck, karen
