    Longest plateau EVER!!!

I did best when I drank all my water, walked 30-40 min 6times a week and calasthenics 3x/week. I was eating every 2-3 hours about 900 calories per day. I'm stuck right now around 220. Good luck.I have too many Christmas parties right now,it's messing me all up.

Good luck on your surgery. I was nervous and excited also. I picked up a book called "weight loss surgery for dummies" it kept me busy and made me more comfortable. It's an exciting time for you. I wish you the best.

I just have to drink some water before I leave. Not any certain amount.I was told we need adjustments as we lose weight b/c our stomach shrinks and the restriction is no longer there.

Is the Lap Band just a placebo?

I had my 3rd fill yesterday. I finally feel uncomfortable if i eat too quickly, drink too quickly or eat certain things. I'm at 8cc in an 11 cc band. Hope it lasts this time. It will come, i felt like you.
  12. If my scale doesn't move down in about 2 weeks, I go back to journaling and calculating calories to get back on track. Don't want to end up like i was before.:w00t:

HELP! Cant make up my mind

my friend had gbp lost 95# in 5 months. for her, she didn't want to deal with fills and didn't want a foreign object in her and had a big problem with sweets, not portion control. I have the band, i ate healthy usually but too much. I wanted to lose the weight slowly to avoid the sags, I didn't like the idea of rerouting the digestive system and didn't want a more invasive surgery. you have to do whats right for you. good luck. Barb

Help! I can eat anything I want!

I was banded 2 1/2 months ago. After about 2 weeks, I didn't have much restriction either. My weight loss stopped for 3 weeks. It seemed like i was eating 1/2-3/4c every hour or hour and a half. I ate a lot of sf jello, ff sf pudding, soup and popsickes. Drinking all the water/tea/crystal helped me feel fuller. But I was used to having food in my mouth all the time. For me, it was head hunger.Food is a big head game for me. I had to get out of the house and walk b/c all I thought about was the food I wasn't eating. As I progressed to mushies I stayed fuller longer. The 6 weeks after surgery is to let the stomach heal. Try not to worry about the calories at this stage. I know it's frustrating. Once you are on solids, you will stay full even longer. and when you get your fills things get even better. This was bandster hell for me too. You'll make it and it will be worth it. Barb:thumbup:

    Loud Digestion?

mine makes the same noise. very embarrassing i'm a hygienist and the poor patient's ear is right next to my belly barb:w00t:
  17. Hi,I was banded 9/18 and feel the same way. I have a 9cc band and 6ccs in it. I feel restriction If I eat bread with my protein or i eat about a cup or of solid food, sometimes a little more. i worry i am stretching my pouch. i will be getting another fill 12/9 hope that's the magic fill. you're not alone.
  18. 6 weeks post op, 3cc in a 9cc band. Felt restriction 1 day.
  19. Does anyone else notice pain when you sit in a twisted position. I'm only 5'2". My port is to the right of my midline and on my waistline. If I sit facing the left a liitle I have this pulling or tugging feeling and it's pretty uncomfortable. I'm a hygienist so I am continually twisting at the waist. I'm 2 months out and wonder if it will get better? Anyone else experiencing this?

  22. Sorry to hear about your brother:frown:
  23. 1 day clear liquids 10 days full liquids 1 week pureed 1 week soft then reg food
  24. i lost and gained the same 3 pounds for 3 weeks then the scale finally moved and I lost 5#. This is when I went on pureed foods. The body needs to readjust itself. Try to measure your body weekly b/c a lot of times we lose inches instead of pounds.
  25. I have a 9cc Realize band. I had 3cc at 1st fill and felt restriction 1 day. Had another 3ccs added(6 cc total) and have felt restriction for 4 days so far. Doc said it may last a week, also note : doc said 1cc is in the tubing. I was at a support grp meeting and they said it depends on how stretched out your stomach is to begin with. The more stretched, the less fluid you need to feel restriction. The smaller the stomach the more fluid you will need. This is definately a test of patience. Hang in there:thumbup:
