Hi there, I too am getting banded the 21st early at 7:30 am. Fresno, CA I am starting the liquids only on Tues. have meeting with the doc and then over to the hospital to do paper work. I am excited, somewhat nervous.....my tummy is finally feeling better! I hope you do well throughout the surgery and at home post. keep me posted. I am at 227 currently, 5'3" tall.. I looked at your info, you are close to me in weight and BMI, you are weighing less, but better days are ahead. take care, God bless you

Well, girls, I can tell you that the 40's have been great for me! Second marriage, had my son at 42 and second child, daughter at 46yrs and both are perfect and healthy. So that brings me to now, getting the band.... I want to grow with my children, see them go to college, I want to play with them at their level. I hit the weight of 227lbs, and not able to move as quickly as l would like, the kids have so much energy, and i want some of that. I wish you all my best, your pregnancy will bring you such joy, just take good care of yourself.

hip hip horray! I hope I too can post.....big improvement from the band! I get up 3x a night, hate to sneeze, and if I try to run, it's a mess without the pad! Band here I come!

thanks, i was wondering about my bladder possibly getting better after the band and dropping weight. I too suffer with the dreaded cough, sneeze leakage! I will be hopeful, thanks for your input. Get banded on the 21st jan.

Sounds like you are doing pretty good:tongue:, happy for you! My husband keeps asking what will you eat when we eat regular food. I smile, and say "it will be ok, less for me, will be good". Maybe the whole family will come on board, with healthier eating. Keep us posted on your success! I am ready for my band, Jan. 21st:tongue2: -

Yep, my tummy is in knots too, and I constantly feel like I am going to throw-up:eek:. Been trying to adjust my intake, tried a shake yesterday, not bad 10grm of Protein....Slimfast Opti. I have one day to liquid, so I am glad of that. Hey, we will do great on the 21st! keep my posted

I am very anxious about my date getting closer, I am hopeful this will be a good thing for me. I have a BMI of 42, 227 lbs, almost the heaviest I have been....I dont want to get any heavier. I have Blood pressure problems, meds to control it. I have two young children, and I want to enjoy them, play at their level. My husband is so supportive, I am ready.:wink_smile:

I feel the same way, I am even getting somewhat nauseous! I am excited, but alittle scared. This site really helps! thanks to all who give their imput,it helps! My date is on the 21st, Jan. I read your list and agree, I am 47 yrs young, and started over with 2 litttles ones, almost 6 yrs and almost 2 yrs....no ...I am not crazy...just happen to find the right man later in life, he is wonderful and so supportive. I too would love to play with them on the floor and not worry...can I get up!. This in not to mention the blood pressure prob. so I hope to get healthier and live to be at least 90 yrs of age. thanks for reading, understanding Good luck to all of us, doing it for the right reason....ME -

Getting closer, I have been reading posts with some good advice...thnks. Sometimes I feel pretty nervous, but mostly so excited. I turned in my letter of understanding the Lap-Band that was required by the doctor. I am cking the pantry for things to throw out! and getting shakes ready. Anyone worried about hair loss? I have very thin hair to begin with, so I hope I dont loose what I have! maybe I should start some hair vitamins, just in case. I have been having the children's chewable they are good! Still dont know how to add the tracker....bummer Good luck to us all.....it's getting closer I have to go to the pre-op meeting all day on Tues, 20th, going to miss the new Pres. Obama get inagurated.....that is a bummer thank God for TVIO:thumbup: -

I live in Fresno, CA my doctor has a good reputation for the LapBando I hope to be very successful, I will try my best to follow all the rules! When I went to see the physocologist for the evelation, she recommended that I go on Wellbutrin to help with grazing, eating for no reason, but boredom. It has helped alot, and I think it will be a big help after the band procedure. She thought I might be alittle on the side of mild depression, I am so glad she recommended the wellbutrin, big difference. Ready to get banded on the 21st of this month, think it will help with that grazing that was such a big problem with me. Good luck to you, get back on track. clovis hospital early 7:30 am and home same day. Tell me about your experience, same day home?? much pain? did you walking to lessen the gas pain? and what did you prepare to have at home to drink/eat? Any info would be appreciated the date is soon coming, and I am very excited. thanks again

I am going in for band on the 21st, I have only one day of liquids.....hummm not sure why? That is all that was required by my doc. Currently I am at 227 I am 42 BMI only 5'3'' tall I am hoping this procedure helps with the BP problem, on meds right now that condition. Got to get ready at home with necessary items...broth, vitamins, and pain med (liquid). Please tell me what else I may need, or what/ how you are preparing for after the band procedure. Good luck to all of us.:grouphug: and does anyone know how to add the weight tape I see at the end of posts?? I would like to track my weight Thanks
