  1. Lucky you! Yes I'm freaking out now!! Tomorrow OMG!!!! I'm excited still but now a lot more nervous.. As for my shopping list I got unjury protein, broth (chicken and beef) jello-watermelon and now we're about to get some vitamins. I'm bringing my toothbrush (no anesthesia breath for me!!) and all the meds they prescribed me with me. Did you have a good V-day?

  2. have you been banded yet?

  3. Wow... thank you for actually responding with a detailed answer!! Your work out plan is very doable. My DH is getting that P90X workout and its about muscle confusion, pretty much the same thing you're doing with your work out. You're my new motivation :)

  4. Thank you so much for writing back and in such detail! I think I will check out that juice plus. I actually need to work on getting my protein in more. That's a lot harder than I thought. I have hit a couple plateaus already and I noticed its always at least a week and a half right before I'm scheduled for my fill. Thank you for the compliment also. Like I tell everyone, I just carry my weight very well. I have had a lot of people ask me why I even got the surgery and I had to explain that for one I'm kinda tall and proportionate so even though I don't look that bad in their eyes, I did start off 90lbs over weight with a bmi of 39. I want to be healthy and I wanted to do something about my weight before it was too late and before I started getting serious complications. I do appreciate all your advice and suggestions. I will definently keep you updated on my progress and maybe one of these days we can meet up. Again thank you and talk to you soon!

  5. I totally feel how you feel on not being able to tell if i'm full. My hubby made me some soup last night (i swear he makes the best veggie beef soup in the world!!) and i ate about a cup of his soup...kinda fast i know thats bad but it was so good. Well i started to get pain in my chest and i had to stop eating. I started to walking and that alleviated the pain sat back down and I knocked out within 10 mins lol. I hate it b/c its hard to tell right now. If I were you I would take the weekend off too. I took the entire week of myself. How much did you lose prior to surgery?

  6. Lol well... it hurt first off. They use a needle thats about 4 inches long and as thick as a piercing needle like a 14 gauge. Well after they stick you, you can watch on the x-ray machine the liquid going in. They make you drink that nasty barium to make sure everything goes down ok. I got 3.5 cc's in my band. Now when they took the needle out i swear that hurt more going in. I hope for you they numb the area b/c yea i'm a baby when it comes to that stuff but really that was no prick, it was more like a bee sting! I do feel the restriction a little but not as much as i thought i would. They said that i should be eating 4 oz of food total each meal, but i'm still eating more than that like 6-8 oz. I hope I didn't scare you! I'm sure you will do better than me!!

  7. You look amazing in your pics posted on the before/after thread! I will also be banded by Dr. Smith on 2/16. Have any advice for a future bandster? Again congrats on your accomplishment!

  8. basically i was on the atkins diet.. no soda, no pasta, rice, bread or fruit. Low carb/fat high protein hope that helps!

  9. My weekend was pretty good, I went drunk bowling w/some friends on saturday.... i didn't mean to get drunk its just since the band, my tolerance has went to crap lol. Sunday, I got my taxes done and cleaned the house. This daylight savings time kinda through off my morning. Oh love your new pics!

  10. Yea thats the part i'm afraid of lol. And I've been approved already just waiting on my doctor. I'm guessing since its the holidays they're trying to get caught up. I wish they would hurry though lol.

  11. Hey Katie!! I got a question,if you don't mind me asking, did you wait until you made your goal before getting your TT or after? And do you think I will need one?

    ~Alcine

  12. Thank you soo much!

  13. Nope I still don't know :-(. I wish they would hurry already. I think I may call them on my lunch if they don't call me first. They wait is killing me lol. I just want to hurry up and get the liquid part over lol.

  14. So are you anxious/excited/nervous about your surgery? I can't wait to have my date but I know as soon as I get it I'm gonna have butterflies lol. Are you on the liquid diet yet?

  15. Let me be the first to congratulate you!!!! You're in Bandland!!!! woot woot!! How are you feeling?

  16. Just dropping by to say hey :-) I'm still waiting on my surgery date. I wish they would hurry lol. I hope you have a great day!

  17. Thank you! So where's katy, TX?

  18. First off, thank you and you know that your just as bad ass!! (twins...both of us are hot together!!) I definitely think you can lose 10lbs by May. Do you know how much you're eating during the day? And how late to you eat your last meal? I try (key word) try not to eat after 7.

  19. Thank you Debbie for checking up on me. Congrats on your 34lbs!!! I've gained back a couple pounds but I'm noticing a pattern, I gain right before my fill. I get my 2nd fill on tomorrow. I go to the gym with my husband at least twice a week. We try to go more often but by the time we both get off from work we're so tired. I think you're doing great. I told myself I wanted to lose 15lbs by may 5 bringing my down to 207 but it doesn't look like I'm going to make it. I hope that fill kinda jump starts the weightloss again :)

  20. Personally, I think you will be fine, as long as you feel fine and you're not over eating. When do you go for your post-op appt or did you already have it?

  21. Hey Jessica, first off congrats on your date! As for my work out, I try to go to the gym as often as possible...lately its only been about 2-3 times a week :( but when I go I do a combination of areobic and weight training. You should check out this site Body-for-LIFE thats where I got my work out from. As for foods, I stay low carb/fat and high protein, my doctor had me do that on my 2 week pre-op diet and I lost 9lbs, so i figure with the band it'll help more too. I hope that helps.

  22. Hey New Sho! I just read your post about being a slow loser. I just wanted to say thank you!!!! I'm not losing slow yet but I don't want to and your advice is great. How much have you lost total?

  23. Hey chica just stopping through to see how you're doing :)
