I'm actually doing a little better, almost 40lbs down total. This last fill I think put me where I needed to be. I'm literally eating about 4oz each meal. While I'm at work I drink my protein. Also... my shoulder pain isn't so bad. I think that it was telling me that I needed to stop eating.

I'm actually on mushies now. Overcooked pasta and veggies, mashed potatoes no skin, vienna sauges. I'm doing fine reintroducing foods. I haven't had any nausea the whole time. The only problem I have right now is eating too fast. Trust me you will feel it if you do. It feels kinda like you really need to burp but you can't. Really bad pressure. I know you will do fine. Its good your having it so early in the morning. I'd rather had mine that way. I'll be thinking about ya tomorrow!

Its official.. I'm a bandster!!!! And wow what a day! I was scheduled at 10:30 was told to be at the hospital at 8:30 didn't actually go under until 1:30 and wasn't released until 6:45 b/c I was so dehydrated I couldn't pee. However, my doc did say I was his best patient today b/c I did really well on my pre-op. He said my liver was so small he didn't even have to move it to put the band on and that saved him an additional 20 mins ( which explains the delay of why I wasn't seen for hours later) I'm in a little pain right now where the port is and i have some gas in my shoulders. All in all though this all so worth it so far! Oh and I lost 9 lbs on my pre-op! I'm feeling very proud of myself. I didn't cry a lot before like I thouht I was. I'll be honest I did tear up when my mother-in-law and hubby had to leave me..But after that i was good. I can't wait for you to have this feeling.9 more days for you yay!!!!!

lol thats funny that you say you're counting down the days till you can chew again. My older sister also had the lap band done last month and she said that's the hardest part for her so far. She justs wants to taste normal food. I never had my teeth pulled and I've heard from many people getting the wisdom teeth are very painful. So I'm gonna take your word . Other than still being on the mushy foods what else is hard for you? I know I'm really going to have trouble not drinking while I eat. That is really bad habit for me. lol

Lol well... it hurt first off. They use a needle thats about 4 inches long and as thick as a piercing needle like a 14 gauge. Well after they stick you, you can watch on the x-ray machine the liquid going in. They make you drink that nasty barium to make sure everything goes down ok. I got 3.5 cc's in my band. Now when they took the needle out i swear that hurt more going in. I hope for you they numb the area b/c yea i'm a baby when it comes to that stuff but really that was no prick, it was more like a bee sting! I do feel the restriction a little but not as much as i thought i would. They said that i should be eating 4 oz of food total each meal, but i'm still eating more than that like 6-8 oz. I hope I didn't scare you! I'm sure you will do better than me!!

Lucky you! Yes I'm freaking out now!! Tomorrow OMG!!!! I'm excited still but now a lot more nervous.. As for my shopping list I got unjury protein, broth (chicken and beef) jello-watermelon and now we're about to get some vitamins. I'm bringing my toothbrush (no anesthesia breath for me!!) and all the meds they prescribed me with me. Did you have a good V-day?

My port is on my left side about four inches from my belly button. I'll be honest, I know I'm not getting all my protein like I should. Thats good they are being lenient on you at work. Have you had your post-op appointment yet?
