i have people come over wednesday night. it will be 10 days banded for me then. i need to have appetizers and Snacks for my guests but i am having a hard time figuring out what i can eat when i have them over also.... any ideas? i want to relax and enjoy myself. but want my guests to have snacks but i dont want to fix anything that will be to tempting to me that i cant eat right now.... thanks!!!!

i was banded last monday the 14th... i called my surgeon and asked him.... since the last 3 days i have had cottage cheese (mushed up) and yougart made homeade tortilla soup yesterday and am having that broth today with some of veggies mushed up with a spoon... yummy. i dont think i will push it to much tho.... just mushy things. im afraid to do anything chunky!!!

Congrats!!! I was Banded last monday the 14th. everything had gone very smoothly have lost 13 lbs! today i am feeling more like myself no pains... my appetite is ok i just have to make sure i drink my liquids! good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!

i have sore ness at the incision sites and i expect that but i have been haing some pains right at the center of my tummy area above my belly button i notice when i have them my tummy makes squishy weird noises also.... is this normal to have??? im finally feeling better all in all expect for this weird pain/rumbeling feeling off and on thru the day.

well i had my surgery monday morning had an over night stay and just got home a few hourse ago. surgery went well... didnt feel sick at all last night have some site pain but thats expected. having to make myself drink just not hungry at all. i did have second thoughts after getting rolled into the OR room. i really almost said NEVER MIND! Yikes! but they stuck the mask on my face and i was out!:thumbup: i have some side pain and lower back pain but when i walk to goes away. the only thing im hating is i cant lay on my side! i am a side sleeper so thats about to kill me!!!! Jada- how did your surgery go???? let me know how your doing.

i have to be at the hospital at 8 am! im soooo super nervous but soo ready to start my new life! thanks everyone for all of the great adviice on here!!! wish me luck!:thumbup:

well i dont have a heart condition but i am going into surgery tomorrow morning also!! just wanted to say that you arent alone tonight with the nerves! i to am a ball of nerves..... hang in there we will make it thru just fine. they wouldnt of cleared u for surgery if they didnt believe u could handle it. keep me posted on how u did and i will here as well..

my surgery is schedule for tuesday dec 15th.... i seriously think im going through a bit of depression.... i'm so super nervous about the surgery! the $$ that i'm spending on it right before xmas...... i feel like ive hit rock bottom... i have no energy no excitement about xmas or the surgery. im scared more than excited. i look in the mirror and am just amazed on the person looking back at me.... who is this person? i'm always a happy fun loving caring person... but lately all i want to do is sleep and cry. i think im coming to the realization that surgery is the only way i can become healthy and at a normal weight.... ive know that for the last few months but for some reason its hitting me HARD these few days before surgery. does anyone else feel like this? or am i just losing my mind?

i got my date also yesterday! i go in dec 15th! nervous and excited also!

That make so much sence! thanks for sharing that cuz i feel the same way! i am soon to be banded the week of Dec 10th.

called BCBS this morning and I WAS APPROVED! im sooo happy and thankful!:biggrin:

paper work got submitted to BCBs on thursday of last week. i am soooo nervous. one of my good friends and i are going through this together and she just found got her approval letter in the mail on saturday! :thumbup:yay!! soooooo im trying to be patient! she was about a week ahead of me on her visits. im not good with this waiting stuff!! Yikes!:wink2:

Just wanted to say HI.... i had my first visit with the surgeon this morning.... i'm very excited!! i lost about 85 lbs 3 yrs ago using Phentermine and gained it all back PLUS some! i'm so tired of being overweight..... i want this to work for me and im willing to do what it takes to make it happen...
