    Overfilled or Over Reacting??

Thanks to everyone for their reponse!!! I went back today for an "unfill"..So instead of being at 3.7cc's I am at 3.2cc's.....Just returned home and havent had a chance to test it out. =/ I just wanted to say thanks for all the insight!
  3. I had my second fill on Tuesday..I went from 2cc's to 3.7cc's. I have a 4cc band, by the way..I had it done under xray so, the barium seemed to be okay when we watched it go thru. I noticed an immediate difference a few hours later. Two days later and I can barely tolerate liquids. I have remained on liquids, trying a few soft foods to see if I can tolerate it. Anything that I have eaten has either come back up or I had to throw it up. I am in pain when trying to eat or drink anything..And this burping!! Never had that either. I tried to give it a few days, hoping it was swollen and would relax?? Does this fit the description of being over filled...

    Couldnt' Find the Port

Just a quick message to let everyone know that I did have my first fill under fluoroscopy. It turns out that my port is in a weird position. At least now I know what route to take the next fill. I have a small band (4cc) and was able to get 2cc's. The first day I felt alot of restriction and now not as much. Is that normal? I really dont want to push finding out how much I can hold, just on the off chance its more than I'm eating. Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement! Let the weight loss begin!

    Couldnt' Find the Port

Thanks! You can obviously feel it and see it , but said that it may be at an angle. I was disappointed, but hoping for great results tomorrow~
  6. Well, I went for my first fill, after waiting patiently for 6 weeks, just to have my doctor (not my surgeon), at a fill center, try 4 attempts without success. (Wonder what could cause this??) He is sending me tomorrow to an imaging center with flouroscopy to have it done. Will this be a nerve racking as the first one?? Anyone else have this same thing happen, and what were your results. He actually said this would be better, because the likelyhood of getting it filled almost perfect would be much better??? Any suggestions or comments?? Need some quickly...
  7. Okay, so all of my incisions healed nicely..except for one. I am 3 weeks post op and have recently discovered why a small part of my incision where my band is placed is not healing. It has about 1/2 or less of "stiching" hanging out. It looks alot like fishing line. I tried to give it a little tug but it didnt budge. It doesnt hurt just scares me a little. I cant just run to my doctor cuz I'm in Texas and he's in Mexico. I guess I should try to find another obesity surgeon and see if he will see me.. They say thats not always easy, either. Please tell me someone else had this and what the end result was... I'm becoming a little "freaked" out. :tongue2:
  8. Thanks so much for the information. It's really nice to know that you aren't in this alone. I have lost about 10 pounds in this time after surgery, so not all was a failure. I know that it takes time. I'm hoping to start exercising in a few days. Mr. Doctor advised not starting till 4 weeks post op...that should help the process.. Thanks Again.....
  9. I was banded on December 22, 2008 and have done pretty well on the post-op diet. I mainly sticking to liquids and soft foods with just a few exceptions. I feel like all of the swelling is gone and that I am operating on sheer will-power, which I have none of. (Thats what got me to the point I'm in). My first fill is scheduled for February 2nd. I have noticed that so many others have lost a significant amount of weight in this time and I have lost very little. I am finding that I am hungry all the time recently. Is it normal for the frustrated feeling at this point?? My Doctor is in Mexico so speaking to him regularly is out of the question. Any helpful suggestions... Thanks!
  10. Was just recently banded on December 22, 2008. All my incisions are healing well. The area around the port is still swollen and I can actually see the port (about the size of a apple) through my skin... Looks a little wierd, I have to admit. Is this normal? Is swelling around the port also normal? Incision is healing nicely, not red or anything... Others than this issue, I have had zero complications and this is begininng to worry me. Should I be worried at only a week or so post-op? Thanks for any insight!!
  11. Happy New Year Everyone! This is my first post and just wanted to say that I am extremely happy to find this site.. I was just banded on December 21, 2008. I went to see a great Doctor in Mexico. No problems or complications what so ever! Just wanting to find out how others are doing, what to expect, and have a thousand and one questions!! Looking forward to a wonderful new year and a new me. =)
