Well .... i didnt stay overnight but i could have. i had a hiatal hernia, so my doc repaired it. When I woke up, I was in alot of discomfort. My chest was burning but i got through it. I am now on my 3rd day and on my 2nd day of walking all is well!

How have you been? Sorry I have been out of touch. I am finally approved and will be banded if God agrees on April 2nd! I am looking forward to it but anticipating a bit. Did you stay over night for your procedure? I will be an outpatient. I think it s great that the procedure is considered minimal but i think i would prefer being in the hospital just one ngiht.

Hi! It's been a while sorry for the delay in being in touch! I have been approved and have a surgery date! It is Thursday, April 2nd! It seem like it was taking forever and then all of a sudden, it happened! I am a little bit anxious, i didnt sleep alot last night. I just keep going over the procedure and trying to rehearse in my mind for what is to come. I guess, I am trying to be mentally prepared for everything. I have one question, for those of you who are banded, has anyone had acid reflux prior to surgery and if so has it worsen for you with the band?

Hey Diva! Well the latest info I have is that I am waiting to get approved. I had my psy eval, psy testing, and now i have to get checked out by the Pulmologist and cardiologists because over the holidays I got sick with pneumonia. So as soon as they clear me, then i will move on to getting scheduled for srgery! I hope all goes by quickly. I am really looking forward to being banded! Thanks for the pep talk. I hope all is going well with you!

i am in Virgina, on the peninsula and in the planning process as well. i am waiting an appointment for Portsmouth barriatrics. I am assuming because of the holidays they have not contacted me yet. However i have also been to the weightloss surgery center in newport news. Here is thier website through Sentara Hospital in Hampton, and Va. Bch. it is www.weightlosssurgerycenter.com, check out the website, they have seminars all the time and will walk you through the process.

Can anyone who is Tri-Care prime members post your knowledge and experience of having surgery done by a civilian doctor and facility and those who have had surgery done at a military hospital facility. I am in the plannning stages now and would like to compare my options. Also my husband is retiring in March and was curious to know how my benefits would be affected financially with Tri-Care prime.

hi! When were you banded. I have fm, diagnosed a year ago. I havent been banded yet. I am looking forward to the surgery but are having reactions from taking lyrica. i am having heart palpitations so right now we are trying to find out if they are coming from having pnuemonia or from side effects of lyrica that i had only been tking for a couple of weeks. did you experience any side effects? i was only taking a pill at night before bed.

Congrads! i am on my way , I am am so looking forward to the surgery. i wanted to comment on your posting about being "too nice". My sister, be who you are and dont let anyone change you or make you think that being nice is a bad thing. i can relate to feeling that way and then realized after becoming a christain that being a door mat is not in God's will but he does reward being a person of integrity and loving your neighbor as yourself, protect yourself from harmful relationships but dont let anyone change the good in you.
