hey there tia..im in dfw and myt surgery on 6/19 also im currently 250lbs...and this pre op diet has been tough..i hate to admit but i have actually cheated so i havent lost..but i did check with my doc to see if i needed to loose and he said no..but it wouldnt hurt.....im just nervous..im on an emotional rollercoaster right now...i want this to work soo bad but i had a negative bug inside telling me it wouldnt work for me..but i guess thats just me being afraid of failing....im definitely going to need support so feel free to message me sometimes when u want to talk..by the way this is my first surgery ever so u can only imagine what im feelin right now! -

no i dont have a blog yet..im kinda scared to do one..lol i dont know..maybe i do need to talk my stuff out...where would i go to start one?? i guess ill check urs out and go from there....thats weird how some docs prefer a pre op diet and then some dont..but for u to have to loose 10 lbs and the date being soo close, u already know that u might have to do a few liquid only days or liquid and just chicken or tuna....thats what im trying to do...im getting nervous..u and i are both young...im just scared...lol ive never had surgery but i need this bad....i guess if u haven't found one already...im gonna get down on one knee and ask if you will be my band twin......!!!???? lol i figure since we're same height, only a year apart in age, and we have the same starting weight and similar body builds, we might be able to help one another out during this journey..so let me know if ur down!!!

i know...its crazy huh!!??? how long is ur pre op diet and is it strictly liquids?? mine if 4 small meals and two of them are protein drinks the other tow are high protein solids like lean meat and eggs...and of course i can have veggies....

ok honey...i know u tired of hearing this...but...u werent even that big in the first place u just got a donk!!!! but yes i do see the difference and those abs are lookin nice..and i see the back has slendered up too...im happy for u girl!! -
First patient on my Doc's agenda..so im lookin at 7am surgery which is fine by me!!! I start my pre op diet tomorrow for two weeks, which does allow me one meal a day to eat lean meats and veggies, and the rest of the daily meals are liquids...so i should be ok.... Ill be taking 8 days of medical leave....so i should be refreshed by the time i get back to work!

ooo ms reyes i feel ur pain on that 100% liquid diet....all i can say for us is to take it day by day keep ourselves occupied b/c if we dont do those 2 things we will go crazy and possibly make bad choices..

i was approved on 5/13 and im having surgery on 6/19......im soo excited...then july 31 im flyin out to cincy to see my baby for 3 days!!

congrats on the date..i meet my surgeon tomorrow and im hoping for a 6/19 date.....ive been doing this waiting thing since dec. 2008....by the way its a coincidence that you live in anchorage ak, b/c i ordered a new ipod nano online..and i was tracking the package..and its been sittin in anchorage for 2 days...i forgot alaska's abbreviation...so i happened to google it...to figure out where the heck this place was..and then bam....there's a memeber here from that exact city!! lol corny but i thought it was cool....lol

they wont check the gym..atleast mine didnt i didnt even join a gym i just told them what activity i did and they documented it on my charts....that seems to be the key in approval....make sure that the nurse practitioner or pcp is just documenting u making the efforts to change ur eating habits and that ur making the attempt to be active.....i just told my pcp tht i went walking like 4x's a week for 30 minutes....and provided the doc office a food diary stating everything i ate....i still had a bad food atleast once a week listed ont he diary but i made sure to show healthy eating habits on the diary mostly... these insurance loops are to see just how serious the patient is in loosing weight if they're considering paying thousands of dollars...if i were u if u want to be approved stick to the doc visits but dont go eating super healthy and exercising hardcore...just cut back on the bad things now that u will miss when banded...that will atleast help u maintain the 40 bmi....i was exactly 40 bmi and i actually put on weight just to make sure i dont go below....kinda regret it now cuz i went overboard on the weight gain......but hopefully i will have surgery in 2 weeks.... -

hey skinny!! dr marsden is going to be me surgeon too...but i was just wondering where did u find it for 139?? i need the version that works with mac computers...also am i also able to turn it off when i go inside places that dont allow devices like that inside...govt buildings i shall say....
