Tani she said the same thing to me because I have no health issues and she felt I could go either way, however I did a lot of research on my own and decided that LB is a better choice for me. For me, the thought of my intestines being re-arranged scared the hell out of me. When I saw her recently she said I have lost more weight within 6 weeks than most of her RNY patients and that gave me lots of confidence and assurance that I made the right choice. Do your research while you lose the 13lbs, that is so easy girl, you can do this. Good luck! We are here to support you no matter what you choose. We are Bariatric Surgery Sisters for Life :smile:.

My next question was why LB, considering you are so close to goal. Well I sort off answered for myself in that we are all using LB as a tool to help us lose and maintain.(call me goofy lol):smile:. I hope u get a call from them soon, if not I say call them.

LOL, I guess my response it late, but if you left at 7 then it's good Tani. I always give myself 2-3 hours especially during commute hours.

Actually she had me lose less than ten percent of my body weight. I just happen to lose more. Tani, just go and meet her, now that you have info on her. If I had to do it all over again she would truly be my choice. She did my next door neighbor's surgery and she had RNY 2 years ago and she loves her.

Riley Jane Thanks for this sight I have been living on water forever it seems this will be nice to have when we have parties so I don't feel like the odd woman out :-).

OMG, Nicole and Riley Jane , you guys just gave me an epiphany, I have lost 50%+ of my excess body weight WOW! I guess we are doing something right lol.

Honestly, I like her alot, I love her calm approach and she is very smart, she knows her stuff. She also specialized in LB and RNY, I believe she has the same level of expertise as the other surgeons if not more. As I said before go meet with her and give it a try.

Juicysmom, I know the feeling, I am 7 weeks post op. I has the same anxiety, I even taught of death and the funniest is that I saw 2 Hearse on my way to Richmond to see the Anesthesiologist and PA. I totally freaked out and called my sister to tell her that in case I die during surgery she should care for my kids LOL:lol:. I dreamt about my funeral and all I think Nicole did too!. LMAO. So yes some anxiety are more extreme than others. GIRL, you will be fine, you will be in the hands of some of the best experts in Bariatric Surgery. The nurses are super cool. Congratulations and may you be blessed during your process. The pain....... :eek:If all your kids were natural then you will be fine. Don't get me wrong it hurts for a week and after that it gets better slowly. Follow Liz's directions, that Spirometer worked wonders for me. Heather congrats on your inches lost. Jes- you are working your menu girl, you go!

Tani, I have Dr. Parks and she's ok, Dr. Baggs is funny, she is more relaxed. I was only upset that she didn't give me a fill but to be perfectly honest I can wait a few more weeks for the fill, considering I already have 6cc in my band. Try her out and you can always change.

Congrats Jes, you are beautiful either way rolls and all, and I totally understand what you mean about feeling thin. I feel thin but look fat. Well we'll keep plucking away. :thumbdown:

Okay guys, I went to see Dr.Park today NO FILL. She said I was dong so well and that I have 6cc , that's why I'm able to continue surviving on 1/4c food. She said if she gives me a fill I won't be able to eat. Well otherwise i weighed in at 271lbs making my post of weight loss 29lbs. I was dissappointed that I didn't get a fill, but I will be ok for the next 6 weeks.

LOl, you are cute! Once you start it gets easier to remember. I am so stubborn, so I made up my mind that I would start this whole water thing from orientation and haven't done otherwise since.
