Well here’s my update.. I had my band removed 2013 after my band slipped upwards. I couldn’t eat or drink and I became severely anemic and had severe gerd. I’ve gained over 55 pounds back. I wanted to try the bypass and held it off. I started taking Wegovy since April, I didn’t lose much and have been off it due to shortage. I hope to get back on as soon as Kaiser calls. Other than that I’m good. So glad to see the pair of you here.

Monique, get the test and do what you feel is best for you. It's just too bad the the band didn't work for me. Nicole my fear of RNY is the complications after surgery. I've heard a lot of gruesome stories. Coco( had to distinguish the Nicoles lol) how are you doing with that gorgeous baby of yours... I still owe you a visit:-(.

Nicole, how are you doing with RNY? I am so scared maybe you can shed some light for anyone considering it like myself :-).

Hey Y'all!!! Monique I'm here! I had a difficult time eating anything including water. That was the breaking point when water was a problem. I also had severe acid reflux. I ended up pneumonia. It was awful. I've managed to keep 20lbs off pre surgery weight. RNY is an option for me but I am so scared.

Wow, it's so good to see folks are still here. Nicole good to see you on here. Hi all! I had my band removed 12/26/2013. My band eroded upward. I was sick for the longest. Sleeve was not an option buy RNY was but I haven't taken that step. I'm trying to do it on my own:-). Hope all is well with everybody.

Hi Ladies, I've been doing ok. I have unfortunately balloned up to 320lbs again. My band has not been kind to me neither have i to it. I have a difficult time eating chicken and most Protein so gues what i turn to sliders. I tried the gluten free thing and no carb eating and find myself not really losing. Everyday is a struggle i get this annoying shoulder pains when i eat so i am not sure what triggers it.Have any of you experienced it? My goal is to get back to eating healthy and finding ways to get all my protein in without pbing. How did your band slip? how did you know it had slipped? I wish you the best with the surgery. Lee glad things are going well. I really miss our chats and get togethers :-). Reggie

Tina, you look great! the good thing is that your band has helped you to not lose. I am also ready to try this again. I didn't know Elk Grove does fills now. Can we request a new doctor here? That would be ideal...

Hi Mo, All is well with me. I have not lost but rather gained and I am back to 312lbs. The main problem is eating protein for me, it gets stuck and morever gas gets the best of me. I have become a sugar junky, which i never was pre surgery. it goes down easy so i eat cookies and all that is not good for me. In my head I know it ios not good and in all reality i think i am eating less calories that i should be taking in. I need to keep a food diary and get back to basics but can't find the motivation to do so. if i can get back to 270 i will be happy. I am soooo glad that you chimed in. I miss you all dearly. Best regards, Reggie

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!! Mo, i totally hear you. I have been out of control for over a year. I just can't seem to find my way back. My band is still good but I can eat anything as well. We have to find something that motivates us. Right now I am not motinated to do anything and that's sad. I hope that i can resume posting again if nothing at all for the support that we give each other. hopefully this year will be good for us all :-). Reggie

Miss you all too !!!! Hi Carmen, Hope all is well with you. Yes the sugar craving is no fun. Lee said it best that we have to try and kick the habit. This journey by no means has been easy, but if we continue to pluck at it a day at a time we just may succeed. Take care and best wishes.

HI Pat, Riley, Pam , Jes and all our LB family. I miss you ladies so much. Pat congratulations on starting graduate school, I am about to embark on school quest also. I have a God given talent of event planning, baking and catering. Finally i have gotten the courage to start marketing myself. I will keep you all posted. I am about to try this Sensa product, hopefully it will help jumpstart my band. I have to do the bulk but if i can get my cravings under control i'll be fine. Since WLS i have developed a crazy craving for sweets that i never had before and that was my ultimate demise in gaining all my weight back. I wish I could blame it all on this there are other factors as work. I am so ready to do this again. Hope we can all get together soon. Love you all, Reggie

Hi Jst and all LB Family, jst if I had to do it all over, honestly I would explore the sleeve. The most important question that some of us face is whether we can be discipline enough. That is a major requirement for all surgeries but more so for the band. Best wishes, I say research and figure out which one would beat suite you. Reggie.

Congrats Heather, you will do great. I met a lady today who got the sleeve last year,I attended meetings with her previously and couldn't recognize her today . She looked great! I ambeginning to think people are having more success with the Sleeve. Good luck and I would love to meet at your home in a couple of months. Heal first.
