Hi Tiare, Congrats on your banding. I was banded on 1/26. I already know that it's one of the best choices I've ever made. I'm having problems with gas too althugh today is much better. When I lay in bed my stomach provides the sound effects. My doc suggested Gas-X strips. They seemed to help. Good luck.

Hey everybody, I need some suggestions on shake mixes. i'm currenting using CHIKE but wanted to try some others before I invest in the lifesize jug(lol). For sure I'll appreciate whatever you guys offer. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Hi Christymarie, I'm doing okay so far. The gas was pretty serious last evening but my doctor suggested the Gas-X strips so I tried those. It helped some. Take care.

Tomorrow is my surgery day. I haven't had a lot of trouble with the 4-day liquid diet although I can hear my stomach growling right now.
I'll let you know how it all works out.

I've just about made it through my 4-day liquid diet. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. My bag is packed and I'm just waiting on the clock. Have to check into the hospital Monday morning at 5:30. I have to stay overnight at the hospital. I guess in way that's a good thing.
Will update you when I get back.

2nd day of full liquid diet. So far so good!!Had vegetable soup liquid and will have a CHIKE strawberry protein shake later. Yum!

Hey Lady,
Today is my 2nd day of full liquids and I'm doing okay. The hospital called and said I need to be there at 5:30 Morning. I think I'm the first surgery that day. I've got my fingers and toes crossed.

Hi, The nurse at my doctor's office suggested "New Whey, Liquid Protein, 42g. 0 sugar and 0 fat. I start my liquid diet on Thursday and I bought several from Smoothie King. I bought the grape and orange flavor. If you can find these they'll satisfy most of your daily protein. -

Hi, I've completed all the pre-op testing requirements. My doctor requires 4 days of liquids. 2 days full liquids and 2 days clear liquids. I start that on Thursday. I'm so pleased to have this surgery that the liquid diet is a small thing when compared to how much better my life will be.
