  1. I would keep it small and simple. The least amount of people is the best.
  2. I just take home leftovers and eat from the regular menu.
  3. I lose 1 lb per week and I am fine with that.
  4. I'm a bit confused. I'm having an extended tummy tuck. What is a mon lift? Should I be getting one?
  5. Steph, I have a confession to make. I don't feel like I have good restriction unless I can stop and PB. That doesn;t mean I throw up on a daily basis or anything like that. I just means that I don;t feek like I can stop eating until I have the PB sensation. I know that is an unhealthy way to look at things but its the only way I can lose weight. I lose about 1 lb per week. That being said, the last few days I have been able to consume about 1 to 1 1/2 cup of food now. I like the idea of counting my calories. If I can stay to the recommended 1200 I should be fine. Thanks for the input. Julie
  6. My doctor took me from 3.2 to 2.7 a few days ago. I think I have started to gain a little weight. Just wondering how you dealt with your unfill?
  7. I have good restriction and have no problem with any of my pills. My biggest pill is the size of an M&M.
  8. The secret truly is to eat very slow and pieces the size of a pencil eraser. You can tell when you get full with PBing. That is the best advice I can give you.
  9. I would do it provided that you can handle the crazy schedule. Good luck saving for your PS. Julie
  10. Lori, so glad your fills aren't that expensive. Good job.
  11. Thanks for the post. I am down to a 42B right now so I totally understand. Not sure if I'll have a breast lift with augmentation next year or not. I need to raise the $10k that it costs.
  12. Your surgeon may put you on a 3 day liquid diet or maybe nothing. Mine didn't make me do a preop diet.
  13. I've been banded nearly 2 years and I still take my antidepressents.
  14. Sorry to hear about this. I am so glad you were able to find this out though.
  15. Hi Laura, you may want to post this under lapband fills section to get more response.
  16. See comments inline.................
  17. The best thing you can do is sip all day long to try and get in as much protein shakes as possible. Once the swelling goes down you will be okay. good luck.
  18. You have been through a lot. Are you working again? I would start with a good fill.
  19. 40 lbs preop and 68 lbs post op. Total 108
  20. I went shopping this weekend and bought the cutest tankini that was a size 16. When I have my TT an thigh lift I may be the size of a 14 but not sure. My surgeon is really supportive with 75% of my excess body weight being loss. Its okay to be a size 14/16 and 5'8" Here are my before and after pictures. I down another 15 lbs from this pics and 1 size.
  21. I am totally fine wearing a bikini top with a little skirt at size 14 or 16. I look good for my frame and although I am 30 BMI I look good and my doctor supports me. There is nothing wrong with having a little meat on your bones. That is coming from someone who use to weigh 320 lbs!
  22. Hi Karey, I am so happy. Let me tell you. There is another thread out there that keep telling me that I am not at a healthy weight. I am totally fine in a size 14/16 and 200 lbs. My surgeon is totally happy with me. I have lost 75% of my excess weight. Who cares if I'm not a size 12! I am so stoked. I bought a new size 16 tankini this weekend that is so cute. After surgery I may go down to a size 14 and I'm totally fine with that being a 5'8" frame! I don't need to be in the norm! I am fine with that. I use to weigh 320 lbs!
  23. Girlfriend, I have so been there. I have been as low as 164 and didn't feel quite right. That being said, I am so happy at size 16 and a BMI of 30. That puts be at 75% of my excess weight being loss which my surgeon is very pleased with. I am very happy at that 200 lbs. Julie
  24. Carol, all I can say is Wow. I am so sorry this happened to you. I really hope your lapband surgery goes well. Juliew
