  1. Yes you will be able to handle it. The question is do you want the excess calories.
  2. Congrats to you. My banding experience was pretty simple too. Good luck.
  3. That is fantastic news. Good for you!
  4. Wow, 16 ccs. Holy cow. Don't feel too bad. I'm down about 50 lbs this year. Its been a slow process for me. Hang in there.
  5. Yes, I drink too much as well. My standard drink is tequilla. I have to really monitor myself now.
  6. 1 to 2 oz is normal with good restriction. I would get a slight unfill. Sounds like you are close to your sweet spot though.
  7. I haven't used them but I have known someone who did that lost a ton of weight. It helps to balance your blood sugar so you can stay away from carbs. That combined with cycling, he lost a ton of weight. Its worth a try if you are a sugar/carb addict.
  8. 5 ccs is a lot for a first fill, but it depends on what size your band is.
  9. My latest NSV is that I am down to a size 18 from size 24. I am down 57 lbs since banding and 83 lbs from my post banding diet. Whoo Hoo. I am size 14/16 on top so I am almost in normal size there. Feels good.
  10. Creamy soups really helped me feel more satisfied while on the liquid stagwe.
  11. Congrats on getting your insurance approval. Now is such an exciting time for you. Enjoy the ride. Congrats.
  12. No, I would buy the dress. It would be a good incentive to you. You will probably fit it before you know it! I bought a size 18 jean before I could fit it and now I am in them. Do it!
  13. After I don't have that full feeling I drink. Typicall it is 15 minutes or so.
  14. Hi Michelle, congrats to you. I remember waiting on my insurance as well. It took me about 8 weeks to get approved. Now is the time for you to feel excitement. The lapband will change your life. Good luck.
  15. Wow that is fantastic. Keep up the good work.
  16. No shit Ken. . These boards are used for every type of question. Go figure.
  17. You may not be able gulp it down but you can definitely drink it down slowly.
  18. When you get home I would call your surgeon. You probably haven't lost a stitch but I would get checked out.
  19. You should be fine. I smoke once in a while with no complications. I don't get the munchies anymore either.
  20. Slow down the weight loss and exercise. You should be fine. I have lost 50+ lbs and will definitely need a tummy tuck. Good luck.
  21. Andrea, what you are experiencing is normal. I remember right before surgery crying to myself because I felt so overwhelmed. You'll need to slow down the eating but you can do that easily. Small bites the size of an eraser will also help. I am so happy I am banded now. You will love it. Julie
  22. Tom, congrats on your bandiversary. You have done awesome. Keep up the good work.
  23. Yes, I feel really good in a size 18 now but all I see is my droopy stomach. I try not to look too much because I am not at goal to get a TT. You may want to try some therapy and visualization techniques. Good luck.
  24. Congrats Lauren. I am really excited for you.
