Hi everyone. Had my 1st fill yesterday-3cc's (don't know how much my band holds). I feel restriction and have had no problems eating, but have been in a funk ever since. I've been trying to figure out why all day and finally it came to me. I have a full feeling when I eat but not like before. I used to get "full" and now I just get a "full" feeling. Before LB I felt satisfied after I ate (I just ate way too much) and now I physically can't get any more food into my stomach and don't feel satisfied at all. Does any one understand what I'm talking about?

I am having my 1st fill this Wednesday. I have been eating just as much as before the surgery (i.e. way too much). Will I really eat less after the fill? If so, is it because I physically wont be able to, or because I actually will have less hunger? The pounds I lost before and right after my surgery are starting to creep back on. Do you start to really lose weight after getting filled?

Hey, what gives? I was banded on April 27th and am still the same weight today! Is this common??

Hi everyone. Having trouble chewing up those nasty calcium citrate wafers--just can't do it, so I bought some "petite" calcium citrate pills which are still HUGE. Any suggestions? Is there another alternative? If they made a "gummy" calcium, I would loooovve it.

Just wondering if anyone has low potassium here? I almost didn't have LB surgery b/c it was too low at 2.7, so they gave me IV potassium 4 hrs b/4 surgery to bring it up. They sent me home on liquid potassium which is horrible, gross and nasty! Too soon to eat bananas and I can tell it's low again. Any suggestions?

Just need some input here. Had lapband surgery yesterday and am very sore today, which is to be expected. My upper abdomen feel hard, also. Is this normal, too? Also, I am hungry already. Is it way too soon to start mushies? Whenever I smell food, I want some.

:biggrin: Hey everyone. I had LB surgery yesterday and last night and today my face and arms are red, hot and arms are itchy. My sites are fine, I do not have a fever and don't really feel too bad. Just curious if this is a post op thing or a me thing. Had IV potassium just b/4 surgery yesterday. Maybe from that? Or maybe from general anethesia?

Wow, am I gassy. Had LB surgery yesterday and there is alot of rumbling and pain going on in my abdomen. When the heck does this get better? DH also had LB surgery yesterday (we did it together!) and he's having more trouble with it than I am. Can we take Gas-X? Or is there a better me out there for post op patients?:biggrin:

Help, everone!! I am being banded on the 27th and am worried about missing all the food I used to eat (that got me obese in the first place!). What will I do w/o eating to comfort me??? Will I get over it eventually? Will I miss it at all? I haven't even had my band yet and I am mourning food! Is this sick or what?:tt1: Also, this preop diet sucks!

I am scheduled tomorrow surgery and I am soooooo freakin' scared!!! All these "what if's?" are going through my head. Do I really want this? What if I can't handle it? Can I handle being thinner? What will I do if I can't eat like I did before? I jumped through all the hoops and did everything I was supposed to just to have this surgery and now I don't know if I even want it? Did any one else go through this? Will I say "What was the big deal?" next week? I really need some guidance from you all. Thanks for letting me vent.

Just out of curiosity, how much are these surgeries costing you? My ins pays for paniculectomy, also, but nothing else. I will need to save up. Thanks.
