  1. i honestly dont know where to begin. I'm 24, i've been overweight since i was a child. My mother was diet obsessed and starved me. My father sneaked me chocolates and crisps to stop me being hungry.. eventually the weight piled on. My mum died when i was 16 and ive spent years being angry with her for making me fat. One morning.. about June of this year, i woke up and decided "i just cant go on like this anymore". I'd almost put on a stone for every year of my life, when i weighed myself that morning i was 280lbs. I was shocked and ashamed, but it was a turning point. That was the moment i accepted responsibility for who i was and what i ate. Over the years i had tried all sorts of diets, and like most people i could manage to dedicate myself to it for a couple of months but then id be naughty and suddenly i was heavier than when id started.
     
    I had considered weight loss surgery for quite some time. So that day i researched all the options, and i decided that i prefered the idea of the gastric sleeve...For a couple of weeks i spent my evenings trawling the internet finding articles about the surgery... everything i found made me more determined!! After id done my research i reckoned it was time to find out where to go and how much it would cost. I didnt have to look far.. The first website i found was http://www.cosmeticbliss.co.uk. I filled in an application form and Michael got back to me a couple of days later to say that I had been approved for surgery.. I booked for the 7th of December this year :rolleyes2:
