  1. Try this: click onto the writtenpart that says ticker factor on your last post it should then take you to tickerfactory you will need to enter you pin or password and then you enter the new details in the boxes below, when you have finnished there are boxes at the bottom to proceed/confirm, thants it I think, and the next time you write a post the new details will show up, give it a go . mmmm PS well done you on your great weight loss.
  2. Thanks for that Sammy, I think I have found a solution. My daughters surgeon is based in Cardiff and does manual fills (not under xray) on Saturday mornings for £120 at Spire Cardiff, so I have just booked him. Other than that I would have to go to Bristol 16th July, but the sooner I get one the better.
  3. Oh POO I've only lost 1lb during my holidays, I'm just so shocked how little I need to eat to loose any weight, I'm feeling very sorry for myself today. I missed my June fill by being away, and wont be able to get a July fill because the date available in this area is only a few days before I go to a wedding, and that would be so inconvient. So I might have to look else where and find someone who can do a fill for me this week, but its probably going to be much more expensive, I'll report back when I can find someone to do it for me. I'm so hungry all the time, isnt it strange how the restriction just stops working from one day to the next.
  4. Hi everyone, just got back from my holls in France and there are sooooooo many post to get through, I'll weigh tomorrow to report the damage. Freckles, thinking of you with the sad news that mum is poorly again.
  5. I would confirm with someone with medical knowledge about zantac, because a friend of mine had to stop useing it for 3 months before they were allowed the op. Take care.
  6. Hi alex and welcome, just a note to remind you that when you get back you'll need to rest for a week and you wont feel up to driving for a few days, take a mug with you for in the hotel, look on u tube search miss flump the video will show you what to expect and you can see the size of the cuts, also take some windeeze gels. Dont forget to post on here when you get back. Hi everyone, I'm leaving for France again tonight, and I'll catch up with you all when I return 6th July. For those who will be banded when I'm away, I wish you well and a quick recovery. Love to all Maggs MMM :wink2:
  7. All pre bandsters dont forget you can take away the apprehension of the unknown by going onto u tube and searching miss flump she has posted a video diary of the hotel, hospital, and she shows her scars immediatly after the op, its not quite as scary when you can see things for your self. Welcome Allan, hope you start to feel better soon, contact with Gary will help he's such a great Guy, we were at Belgium together, and he also suffered the same as you, also keep in touch with Dr. Chris he might want to see you before your due for a fill. Bobo you have done brilliant, you guys are doing so well, it really adds to the thread to have a mix, of girls and guys, I bet you re feeling so much better now you've lost 5 STONE :thumbup::smile::thumbup::thumbup::eek::thumbup::eek::thumbup:
  8. Hi Kathy High Anxiety, I am so sorry I have'nt responded to your post, but when I read it felt so dissapointed on your behalf I could'nt and did'nt know what to say, now that I have slept on it I'm still in the same position, but I do want you to know that I and it seems the other members on here care about you, and if there is any support I can give do not hesitate to contact me. We are all aware of the rollercoaster ride we go through from the time of booking to the time of having the op done, but at least at the end of it something positive has been achieved, even if we are a lot poorer financially, but in your situation all that stess and tension is still within you, please contact you gp or someone who can help you through this, because it must be like a bereavement for you. If you want to use this thread to help you through it, then please do so, I for one will be listening, and it might be a comfort to you to know that others care. Look after yourself and I am thinking about you. Love maggs. xxx
  9. I was banded in Feb of this year, and everything went smoothly, too smoothly because within 1 day of the op I was looking for food angain, I did'nt have any resriction at all until my 2nd fill, I dont miss food at all because I have'nt stopped eating I just have much smaller quantities and I can eat everything I want, but it satisfies me with just a sauser full. I know its hard to believe, but that how it works for me. Good luck
  10. Welcome toppings, you'll be in good hands with Dr Chris and Fred, and its so much cheaper, and they are very experienced, all staff at hospital speaks excellent english so no worries there. Its really exciting when you make the choice to go ahead and book the op. August 5th is my birthday, so it has to be a good date. keep reading past posts there is so much useful info on this thread, although its now such a long thread its going to be a massive task, but well worth it.
  11. Thanks for the encouragement, however I've been shopping again today for more clothes in my new size, I've been spending money I should'nt have, because I am still paying for the band op on my credit card. I will stop now and concentrate on repaying my band
  12. Hi shoes, one thing I've learned is not to get too hungry, because I try to eat much too quickly when I am. That combined with the pitta was probably the cause of your pain, if it happens again dont fight it keep calm (stress makes it worse) just get to bathroom and let it come up, just leaning over the loo will shift it. If you are going to try any type of bread leave it until the last item to eat sometimes its just not worth it and you possibly wont want it anyway. Its all a learning curve and trial and error.
  13. Hi odgemodge, when you have more restriction you will possible be eating the same things only small amounts ie 1 weetabix, 1 egg omlette, and tea plate sized evening meal, but we are all different, and need different quantities, hope this info helps, I can only tell you what volumes satisfy me.
  14. mine is not a good as yours cos I can eat most things the only things I have to be careful with is the skins around orange segments if they are a bit dry, peach skins, and I'm ok with bread as long as its not sliced white, then I can only eat half slice and then have to stop. My easiest foods are salad, fish, cereal and porridge, and of course cake and chocs. I'm going back to France on Thurs for a few weeks and that wil be a tester for me, cos I wont be able to get a fill in June, and I dont really want one in July cos I got a wedding to attend at the start of August. I went shopping today for my outfit, it was hard to understand that sized 14 were easily fitting, I was unsure as to whether or not to buy, because size 12 did go on but was tight over the bust, in the end I did buy a 14 just in case i did'nt loose any more weight, or even put any on during my holls, but it was a nice problem to have. I'm feeling much more confident now that I'm a bit smaller. Happy days.
  15. Hi suefee, it sounds as if you've either eaten too quickly, or not chewed enough, and something has got stuck, sometimes the only way to alleviate the pain is to chuck it back up, its not like being sick cos the food has'nt been digested, and bandsters call it a pb (productive burp) this is what it feels like when you have restriction and you over eat, or eat too quickly, or it happens with some foods, some find breads, nans, etc too heavey to digest, with others its rice, or it could be something completly different for you, I have a problem with peach skins and have to peel them. Hope this info helps
  16. Well done homecare you've started your weightloss journey, good for you.
  17. Come and join the other thread for this surgeon, just search anyone heard of Chris De Bruyne to find us
  18. The current thread for Chris De Bruyne is 'anyone heard of Chris De Brune' there is loads of info on there I would'nt have been able to drive anywhere for nearly a week after the operation. Come and join us on the other thread
  19. Cant say I agree with the above, I had exceptional restriction on my 2nd fill and again on my 3rd,and I have them with Chris Deprez of ECFS. He is ACE, he also does fills for other surgeons from Belgium, and at only £80 in Newport, cant fault it.
  20. Hi Freckles, we've had a request for the instructions for a ticker, I cant remember how I done it can you?
  21. flirtylass and gorgeous Gary are not around, I wonder why, what ever are they up to together. :ihih:
  22. Hi suefee, I'm keeping track on your progress, you're doing so well :ihih:
  23. Great post Gillian, and it also gave me the answer to my hiccup bout which I had for 3 days AND NIGHTS, I lost 10 lb in those few days and felt worn out, lets hope big sister doesn't have to go through that. :cursing:
  24. Well done Gillian, you must be so pleased with your regular weightloss, has big sister started to get some restriction yet
  25. Hi Michelle, Its a big step booking the op I was just as nervous and excited but well done. How did you book the band op was it with Dr Chris, or Fredrick or one of the other agencies, depending on who you booked with the hotel could be in the inclusive price. I flew with BMI Heathrow to Brusells international airport, and again if you booked Fredricks package the taxi's are inclusive within the price. As to fills you can choose anyone you want to do them, mine are carried out at Newport at £80 a time, I have had 3, and dont think I'll need any more for a very long time. My fill Doctor Chris Deprez, says most of his clients need only 3 until they loose weight at an acceptable rate. However this has taken me to the sweetspot, this means I can eat most things normally, but in much smaller quantities and will loose weight. Some people prefer to try to get a very tight restriction whereby they can only eat mushy food and drinks, this does not always reduce quantity, so you might find that if you have a tighter band you might not necessarily loose more weight than if it is at the sweetspot. Hopes this information helps, keep asking questions until you get the answers you need.
