  1. Thank you both!

AshleyRebecca, I am 5'7". Good luck with getting banded. It's been a great decision for me and I'm it will be for you as well. Amazing how much better work is physically when you can move around better.

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

I've finally lost 101 pounds! Yay!
  4. I will be one year post op on the 11th of February. My hair loss is finally starting to slow down. It seems that during this time that nothing I've done helps with the hair loss. NOTHING. I've taken Bitotin for the last 6 months. I honestly just think it's just something that stops/slows down when the weight loss slows. Just my personal opinion, of course. At least that is seeming to be my personal experience anyway.

    3lbs :-(

I think you just need to chill out. I was the same way. I struggled for a month to get below 200. I tried everything. I was so frustrated. Then I just quit worrying about it and suddenly it came off....along with about 5 more pounds. So quit stressing and just do what you know you are supposed to do. It will happen!

    Diet Coke . . .

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I had not had a soft drink since surgery. I tried one at the movie theater a few weeks ago and it burned my throat so bad. I too was addicted presurgery. I mean addicted. I probably drank 5, 2 liter dt mt dews a week. If I can gice them up, anyone can.

    Feeling of fullness

Yes, sounds normal. Unfortunately or fortunately, you don't really ever feel that sense of fullness that you did before banding. It's more a feeling of uncomfortableness more than satiety. You just know you better stop or else.

    Would You Wear a Mini-skirt?

    I would and I have.

Does the weight loss increase your sex drive?

I've lost 97 pounds now and my sex drive is way down. I don't get it. You would think it would be better. Maybe it's a hormonal thing. I don't know. Anyway, I do hope it gets better.

    Sketchers Shape-Ups

I just bought some of those this morning. I bought the black ones. Can't wait to start using them.
  11. Crystal light makes a water drink mix called Crystal Light Energy. It has cafffiene in it. I so missed the caffiene boosts that those drinks gave me. Now I subsititute it with those. Don't even miss it now. I was an addict too. I would drink a 2 liter dt mt dew a day! I haven't had one in 11 months now. You can do it too!
  12. I'm 5'7" and I always wanted to be 180. When I was 300 pounds, 180 sounded wonderful. As I get closer to that number though, I don't know if that's gonna satisfy me. I too discovered taht it is still considered overweight for my height. The BMI calculator says 155 for me to be considered a "normal" weight. I don't ever remember even weighing that. I guess I'll just wait and see how I feel when I get to 180 and make a decision from there. Even though, I know it's just a number, I can't imagine going through all of this to still be considered "overweight". Crazy I know!
  13. I haven't really tried to eat a burger since being banded. The thoughts of what the bread combined with the beef being stuck is enough to keep me away, BUT if I could I don't think there would be any way that I could eat that much. I could maybe eat 1/4 to 1/2 of just the burger if I ate very very slowly and chewed very well.
  14. Thank you Juliansmom! You look incredible as well!
  15. bclements, unfortunately, yes I do. I carry most of my weight in my abdomen. So yes, I need an abdominalplasty. Also plan on getting a breast lift with small implants. My arms and thighs are ok. They are not great but I can live with them. And thank you!
