    lose too much pre-op

That sounds like fun!!! I have been going 2 hours away for fills, etc. I have about 40 pounds to loose and that will put me at 130-135, and for my height of 5'4. I sure hope to be at my goal by June before I go to Vegas for vacation. Sheeeez that would be so sweet. oooo I am being selfish aren't I??? I sure wish you all of the luck, you are doing great. I hope to get my first fill on Jan. 21st. That is why I was in such a hurry to get the surgery the first of Jan so that if I do fall short I will have time to catch up.

    lose too much pre-op

Boy, I stink at this, I could not find the thread, the reply came in on my blackberry and that helped me find the link, anyway. I sure hope mine goes that good, I have tried so hard to quite smoking and some days are better that others. I know once the surgery is done quitting is not an option.

Mansaw, You are had your surgery in Mexico???? Mine is being done in Birminham, Al. I am wondering if it is easier on someone who has a lower BMI, I figure the weight will come of slower, I am just guess on that. :frown:

    lose too much pre-op

OOO, that scares me too. My BMI is 33 and it was difficult to convince my Dr. to do the surgery to begin with, this question didn't even cross my mind. Please keep me posted. That is a good question.

    B'ham Banding

Hi, Dr. Dewitt's is somewhere around 12,000.00 I think for self pay, DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THIS because I did not get that far, but that does not include the pshyc eval, nutrionist, etc. My BMI was not high enough and he will not do my surgery. I would still recommend him, he is very personable and he takes the health of his patients seriously. His staff is great to work with also. :smile2:

    B'ham Banding

I sure hope I can get banded on 12/29. That is what I am pushing for. Is all I like are two more appointments and I will be READY :frown: The staff at Dr. DeWitt's is great and Dr. DeWitt is great, I was comfortable discussing the situation with him and he does have a sense of humor and that makes a difference when those not so easy questions come up during an evaluation. I would recommend him to anyone. I will keep you posted, ROLL TIDE !!!!
